The effort taken to keep the place up to standards , with such a reasonable price , I much appreciate Hospitality is valued over the price It is located at low level, but huge effort taken to construct a road in wooden land the journey takes less than 5 min from the main road but it is worth experiencing that drive I suggested their own vehicle to facilitate the ride for guests and include it to the package This time the owner helped arranging transport in advance I feel that hired service is comparatively expensive The place has a nice well maintained garden Beside there is a beautiful river where you can have a relaxing time with your family Footpaths swings garden chairs add more value to the property Rooms are well spacious bathrooms are lovely clean spacious hot water facilities with modern fittings Weather does not require AC but high level fixed wall fan does very reasonable job Beds are very comfy and the ground level rooms are surrounded by a very large pavement , keeping rooms clean Lighting in the evening adds value to the property Breakfast I must thank for the extra effort for hot pani hoppers fresh fruits hot tea it was very well served, food was delicious We went in Odessa train up and down , got to know there’s a bus service near the property , would have been an option for returning train trip I recommend this place for anyone and will visit the place definitely on our next year trip to Sri Lanka Thanks for the staff everyone was supportive 10/10 for this excellent service

Crystal Resort, hotel in Badulla

Featuring mountain views, Crystal Resort provides accommodation with balcony, around 17 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge.

Viraj was super accommodating with us and made us feel at home straight away. Not only we were arriving quite late but we also had to leave early in the morning and he managed to provide us dinner and breakfast(this last one on the go!), and both were home made and of an outstanding quality! We wished we could have stayed one more night in Badulla!

The Cliff Tea Glamping, hotel in Badulla

Located 36 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge and 32 km from Demodara Railway Station in Badulla, The Cliff Tea Glamping offers accommodation with a kitchen.

The view over the mountains is fabulous. The vegetation, birds, mountain monks chanting some where far, made it a real spiritual return to nature. The journey there through jungle and tea plantations made it a safari adventure. We were alone apart from the lovely staff, which made it a special escape under the starry sky and fire flies dancing in the night.

Offering free WiFi and a barbecue, Sithara Estate Bungalow is situated 27 km from Nuwara Eliya. Free private parking is available on site. There is a seating and/or dining area in some units.

The location is a bit hard to find but the view is breathtaking. The hostess is very welcoming and helpful. She likes the children very much and care her guests a lot. She did her best to make our stay comfortable, including making nice breakfast with limited supplies due to current circumstances. And the friendly dog Leo keeps children company and happy.

Even though My stay in Badulla was too short to visit all the beautiful places, the trip to Dunhida waterfall was a great experience, especially for kids. The path to Dunhida might be difficult for someone. I believe it was a very nice experience to walk through the jungle. Once you see the waterfall, you will forget all the tiredness.

There is loads of places to see around, Ella which is a travellers favourite is really close by as well. Coming from Colombo, it usually takes 6hrs and 30 minutes roughly but we used the highway, exiting from Hambantota which shortened our drive from 1hr.

Quite a vibrant town but didn’t come across any tourist attractions. I hardly saw any tourist unlike in places like Ella (hot spot), Nuwara Eliya etc. There are good restaurants in the town serving local dishes. Plenty of buses to commute around the district.

Dunhinda falls is the best attraction there.

Dunhinda falls is the best attraction there. It's still under the control & protection of the nature. Further, if you're Buddhist or interested in Buddhism you'll find Muthiyangana Temple in the center of the city. It was told that Gauthama Buddha visited this place once out of his three visits to Sri Lanka. According to Buddhist teachings, this place has some extraordinary powers.
