Such great hosts and their authentic meals were the best we had during our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka and we went to 5 cities! They also have a hand written map which is helpful for hiking as google maps doesn’t know some of the secret trails used by locals.

Very clean and comfortable room. The breakfast served is amazing. Great location in a more quiet part of the city centre, a bit away from the busy main road. The hosts are super friendly and helpful in organising everything you need during your stay. They offer laundry service which is very handy. There are lots of good restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Do this walk in the morning (the earlier the better as the view will be clearer). We left at 7:30am and got to see the view halfway up but at the top there was lots of fog. Still worth doing the hike with the fog because it's so eerie in the forest with the fog. Also recommend walking on past the wooden hut at the top - there's another lookout ~1.5km on where you can see Ramana Waterfall if it's clear.

For the price we paid, this hotel was incredible value! The view was AMAZING, and I would say it was the perfect location in that it was far enough away from Ella town to be peaceful, but close enough that we could walk into town very easily. We hiked Ella Rock and walked to nine arche bridge and Little Adam’s Peak from here, without needing to pay for tuktuk journeys at all! The guy running the show (who I don’t believe is the owner) was so so nice and really helpful.
This little apartment was the absolute highlight of our Sri Lanka trip! The location with a view right on Ella rock is priceless and the two hosts are beyond what one could wish for - they tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible night and day, would drive us to any location at any time and were incredibly friendly company. We wouldn’t pick another place in Ella if we were to come back! Thank you so much!!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered dinner outside of their menu list, it is very tasty. The hotel is very convenient to get to by train. This hotel is also convenient for hikers as it is close to Ella rock.
Andy was a really friendly and easy going host. He even let us use his scooter for LKR 3‘000 a day and organized us a driver to the next hotel. Delicious breakfast and a nice view on Ella Rock and Little Adams Peak

This mountain retreat offers a stunning terrace with breathtaking views of the peaks, complete with two hammocks perfect for reading. Nimal, the owner, provided detailed directions to Ella, the Nine Arch Bridge, and Ella Rock, all of which are accessible on foot from the hotel. The delicious breakfast adds the perfect touch to a truly memorable stay. Nimal even draw us a map!!
Best homestay/hotel we had in Sri Lanka so far.
Rooms were quite modern and there was plenty of space (two 1.60m beds, although we just needed one). Owners welcomed us warmly, treated us well and also arranged additional features. Breakfast was giant and very delicious.

Nice new hotel in a very good location, super clean and comfortable. Our rooms had breathtaking view of Ella Rock and the whole landscape. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good quality with a choice of continental or Sri Lankan breakfast. We had really great time here, it’s more than three stars! (Only a bar and some coctails are missing.😉)
The hotel is perfectly located with a direct view on Ella Rock. It s 5 min walking distance from everything you want in the city center. The service was impeccable and the food very tasty. We loved the breakfast (fresh tea, pancakes, eggs, fruits, sri lankan food as well) and the food in general (curry ordered for dinner was excellent). You can do yoga classes, massages, access the pool, enjoy your balcony. We recommend 100%.
