Incredible stay. Dave was an excellent host. Newly renovated with great room and balcony. Amazing breakfasts (different each day). Beautiful view. Lovely walk along train tracks to centre and other way to Ella rock hike. Fantastic restaurant for dinner 2 min walk along train tracks.

The owner has been kind to pick us up with the tuk tuk from the city center because the road is quite difficult for an usual car.

The small hotel was appointed very well. The room had everything a traveller needs. Plus its location in Ella is slightly away from the noise that usually accompanies a tourist town, but within 300 m of businesses and 400 m of the main tourist street. It's less than 1 km from the Ella Railway Station. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and filling. I sometimes had trouble finishing all that was offered. You can tell the owner of the hotel, Mr. Obey, likes what he does. I don't know if I will be back to Ella but if I am I hope to stay at Ella Moon Rock. If you're in Ella for a few days, don't miss the opportunity to reserve a room at this hotel.
The town of Ella is also very interesting. I would say it's a tourist town, small and compact with a lot of services suited to travellers. Many attractions are within walking distance and are fashioned as hiking adventures: Little Adams Peak, the 9 Arch Bridge, and Ella Rock are just three treks (within 3 to 5 km) to explore. There are others that I didn't do and a few you can book with guides.

The setting was absolutely stunning looking out across the valley to the mountains and far distant plains.
The food was excellent! Priyantha did a fabulous job looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble for him. His food preparation and presentation skills were world class and the tastes devine. Always cheerful, always respectful, Priyantha made out stay all that more enjoyable.

Nice new hotel in a very good location, super clean and comfortable. Our rooms had breathtaking view of Ella Rock and the whole landscape. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good quality with a choice of continental or Sri Lankan breakfast. We had really great time here, it’s more than three stars! (Only a bar and some coctails are missing.😉)
The hotel is perfectly located with a direct view on Ella Rock. It s 5 min walking distance from everything you want in the city center. The service was impeccable and the food very tasty. We loved the breakfast (fresh tea, pancakes, eggs, fruits, sri lankan food as well) and the food in general (curry ordered for dinner was excellent). You can do yoga classes, massages, access the pool, enjoy your balcony. We recommend 100%.

The view of Ella rock from the balcony is great. The swimming pool is a nice spot to relax.

I recently stayed at the Rock view hostel ella and It was really nice. Great location, Nice view of the ella rock mountain. Rooms are very clean and good value for money.They provided authentic Sri Lankan breakfast as well. Staff were very friendly and helpful they given excellent customer service. I hope to visit again.
Am an Indian, recently visited Sri lanka, my friended recommended this location. The location is gorgeous and fabulous, hotel is located at the Adams Peak, it has fantastic view, right front of the Ella Rock. It takes 5 minutes to Rawana Water Falls, Rawana Fly (Cable). Further food is delicious. I appreciate all to stay. The guide from the hotel was very good. Room is hygienically clean and perfect.
Breakfast was amazing traditional Sri Lankan food. Friendly service. Unforgettable stay in Ella, the Heritage Hotel added to the experience. The view from the bedroom was amazing, looking at the sun shining on Ella Rock in the morning. The lady in charge was super friendly and helpful and was really helpful.
