The view from outside the hotel is unmatched. We enjoyed it both at night and for sunrise the next morning. The drive itself up and down the mountain is amazing as well. The sightseeing really makes this hotel worth it. We stayed in a family room because it was the last room available, so it was comfortable enough but I imagine the normal rooms are much better. Tip: bring snacks/food before you go up the mountain, there's nothing once you get up there. There's also apparently wild boars roaming so be careful at night.

As we had a rented car, that made it easy to locate this Hotel Route Inn at Takamatsu. Hotel has ample car parks. At reception, was a nice coffee machine that serves freshly grounded coffee. This hotel is just a short drive to shikoku mura vilage, Takamatsu Castle and Ritsurin Garden. Also close to a mall (on the way to Shikoku Mura Village) where there is a supermarket. We managed to buy strawberries that were in season. There are many eateries around the hotel. With the recommendation by receptionist we were at a Beef Teppanyaki restaurant. Only a short 10 mins walk from the hotel. We had the hotel help us book this restaurant . We enjoyed the dinner meal very much.

Everything was perfect. Modern hotel. Large room with all facilities you need - kitchen, washing machine, big comfortable beds. Wonderful staff, very good recommendations for restaurants. Great modern coffee/breakfast place a minute away.

The large hotel is fairly modern, and mostly in the western style. Our medium-size room was clean, with a big tv, and a larger-than-average for a Business-class hotel sized bathroom. The room was clean overall. Parking is free and plentiful. The staff were polite.
