I love how friendly and accommodating the hosts were. They made sure I was comfortable and offered assistance in terms of information about where to go and the transportation. It was lovely to come back to the ryokan after a long day of exploring. I also love how authentic my room and beddings were. Sleeping on the floor was comfortable to me. I especially love the meals. ( breakfast and dinners). If you chose to stay here, don’t miss out on the meals.

Maki and her Mom were super nice to us during our entire stay( 2 nights). A lot of effort went into everything and you can tell how hard they work. If that wasn’t enough, they also drove us around a little which was so generous. The rooms are very well maintained and taken care of. Food was amazing too. Overall our stay was absolutely amazing and we might be coming back next time we visit.

The kindest host, Maki-san. The most delicious food I have had in Japan. Lovely ryokan home. Incredible hospitality. Just 10 out of 10. The Togakushi shrines are right nearby. Seriously, the food alone and the relaxing Onsen were so delightful. Thank you, Maki-san. (For non-Japanese, be sure to understand a little about how ryokan works and what the traditional inn is like. But Maki-san will teach you all you need to know!
The location was a few minutes walk to Togakushi-Jinja, and 6 minutes from Togakushi Shrine Okusha (Main Shrine) The Great Torii Gate.
Friendly staff with newly renovated property. The owner gave me an amazing recommendation to eat at the Nagano Forest Village.
Hidanori and his wife were great. If you are visiting Togakushi Shrine (and you should), you should stay here. Also, there was plenty of food and it was great!
