This hotel is aged but function well. It's the only hotel to stay in Murodo if you want to stay overnight for the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. The hotel will organise activities for hotel guest like star glazing, walking trail, it's in Japanese language. Hotel guests get exclusive walk to the snow wall in the late afternoon after it is closed to public. As it is the only hotel, the price we paid included dinner and breakfast, both which is beyond satisfactory. Some of the front office staff can speak English, so it really depends on whether they are on duty when you need them.

Had a comfortable stay with great views of the mountains and the jap style dinner with free flow alchohol, very fresh sashimi and good quality beef was exceptional! The staff were very friendly and warm. Special compliments to front desk staff (Moe) for her kindness in helping us throughout our stay whenever we faced difficulties, making recommendations for our itinerary and going the extra mile. Loved the Buffet breakfast. Room was beautiful with traditional Tatami mats and Shuji screens with mattress beds on the floor - super spacious. Breakfast was nice served on a tray at your table. I prefer buffet where you can choose what youd like to eat but this was nice Japanese flavours
