The staff was very nice, very hospitable and it was great that they all spoke English as well as Japanese. All of the complimentary snacks and drinks and the complimentary wine card and items in the room refrigerator were wonderful and very much appreciated. Also the complimentary hygiene products were high quality as well as the spa products. The food was delicious and there was such an amazingly variety.

Attention to detail from the design of onsen to the adjustable bedside table ( very soft to reading strength). Great service. Refined dinner and breakfast sets. The public onsen and private ones all have views. Public bath has various types of temperature and cold plunge which I loved. There is also a hinoki soaking tub w view in the room. Overall the ryokan married traditional Japanese style with western comforts so seamlessly. We really enjoyed our experience.
Offering spacious rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring, Western beds and free wired internet, Club Jozankei is 3.1 mi from Lake Sapporo.

This was the perfect place to enjoy the traditional ryokan experience in an upscale and comfortable setting. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. They worked through the language barrier to update our stay when our trip changed and explain the bus schedule to us. Facilites were luxurious and the dinner was incredible! I wish we could have stayed for more than 1 night in order to fully enjoy the property and surrounding area but 100% recommend to book. I will go out of my way to return my next time in Hokkaido!
