Casa Poli was a thoroughly pleasant experience, which exceeded my expectations.
Top reasons:
+ Staff > extremely nice, attentive and helpful with great endeavour to make guests happy
+ Room & bathroom > modern tasteful design | comprehensive equipment in top shape and spotlessly clean (esp. to mention: good reading lamps) | comfortable noise protection of wall and windows (during my trip in Italy this was the only hotel where nothing was heard from the adjacent rooms, even though they were all occupied)
+ Breakfast > rich buffet with high-quality products (in my opinion above standard in Italy)
"Grazie mille" to the Casa Poli team.
And special thanks to Rachele who helped me with much concern when I fell victim of a national train strike on my departure day.
Hotel Mantegna Stazione is opposite Mantua Train Station and a short walk from the banks of River Mincio.

I was very impressed with this hotel. My main reason for choosing this was the location, very close to the station and also within walking distance of the historic centre. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The room was very nice and very clean. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff are super friendly. I would definitely stay again.

Amazing Renaissance Villa- The Chamber of the Giants was incredible and slightly disorientating and the Chamber of Psyche stunning. Also, many grotesque decorative cycles, the height of fashion when the Palazzo was built and still in perfect condition.
It's worth allowing enough time following your visit to sit outside in the tranquil gardens to fully appreciate how life must have been for the Gonzaga family five hundred years ago!

The host was fantastic. She organized key collection, though we were terribly late; also warned us about the gig (we came for) changing location due to rain and readily answered all our questions. The room was great, has a historic atmosphere, but again is very comfortable; the street was very quiet, near center, but also Palazzo Te. Also, there are nice coffee places just outside... we enjoyed our stay very much!
The hotel is located just across the train station, about 10 min walk to the center and 15 min walk to the famous Palazzo Te.
We had breakfast outside. There are bars, bakery and coffeeshops near, as well as a bus stop. Beds are comfortable, the air condition is really quiet. I would stay in this hotel again if I visit Mantua.
A huge apartament in a quiet side street. A twenty five-minute walk to the train station, 20 minutes away from Palazzo Te ( UNESCO), five minutes from a Conad supermarket. Very good facilities in the kitchen and each room. You will find there salt, pepper, oilive oil, coffee, tea, sugar and many more surprises that tempt you to stay at home and have lazy time. The apt.strictly follows eco friendly policy. A bit far (walking) from the very center od Mantova. Monica, the landlady is very responsive and kind.
perfectly positioned between the old town and the Palazzo Te, this is a find. Large comfortable rooms, a quiet location a brief walk from the buzzy old town, and super helpful staff. Plus the beds are amazingly good for sleeping
Modern, clean, located within walking distance from the city centre and Palazzo Te. Very good breakfast with a good choice of food and coffee. Staff incredibly friendly and smiling all the time and ready to fulfill all your wishes. The hotel has a nice little gym.
Beautiful location close to the center, 10 minutes away from the historic center and lakes for relaxation. Large rooms with air conditioning, large and well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, big TV, insect screens in the windows, wonderful parking in the closed yard, helpful owner. Local cake, coffee and large fridge in the kitchen. Supermarket nearby - Carrefour. Nearby restaurants, bars. Major museums, palaces and churches nearby, connection to Palazzo Te by free bus, pleasant people.
Deborah was an amazing host. She welcomed us with very helpful advice and information. Offered us a welcome coffee. We were given a light breakfast (including her delicious freshly baked cake one morning) even though it was not included in our booking. Coffee, tea and water were always available.
Although it wasn't in the historic part of town it was in easy access and midway between palazzo Ducale and palazzo Te.
She let us leave our luggage there after check- out which was really helpful.
The hotel is so close to Palazzo Ducale, practically on the doorstep of the Rotunda and not too long a walk away from Palazzo Te either. We spent very little time in the room but it was a super comfy spot to come back to at the end of the day. The room was very spacious and the air conditioning saved us in the summer heat.
Wonderful frescoed room in the palazzo courtyard, very quiet and peaceful. Great welcome on arrival with helpful suggestions for visiting Mantua. Kitchen and bathroom facilities in the adjoining room were modern and excellent. Great location - equidistant between the Ducal Palace, Palazzo Te and the railway station.
