The hotel staff was very kind, welcoming and polite. They wanted to make sure I had a great experience so they did what they could to make me feel comfortable. Besides, they helped me providing information about the place and ordered a taxi when I needed. The food was a plus with a variety of fruit, bread and drink options.

Mondello is stuck somewhere at the end of the 80's and is the last place to visit with family and kids. There is nothing to see or to do. The beach is anything but clean. Houses and streets are degraded and no one seems to care. Streets are dirty, piles of trash are everywhere.
Altough there are restaurants, the service and the offer is far behind of anything you get in other places in Italy. I would not visit Mondello again, but if one does want to go, I would advise to spend no more than one afternoon. This was my first time to Mondello.
This was my first time to Mondello. Overall, it was better than expected. My family was looking for a simple beach trip, and Mondello served this purpose very well. There were plenty of restaurants for us to enjoy in the area. There were private beach access areas where you can rent some beach chairs and an umbrella, plus plenty of public beach areas to access as well. If you needed to go into Palermo, you can catch a few different bus routes. We used the 806 bus route to get into more of the heart of Palermo in our case.

Mondello has a lot to offer anyone, from singles, young and old, families and retirees. We went in early May, so the weather was a bit on the cool side, but there was still plenty of people on the beach. The crowd size at that time of year was manageable. There are plenty of places to eat and we enjoyed good food. It is a very walkable area. It is not a far drive from Palermo City Center (average 30 -40 minutes depending on traffic).

We tried trattoria "L'angolo di Mondello Trattoria da Franco" on Piazza Mondello and "Alle Terrazze". The first one (Franco) is a family-driven local, traditional place, the second one is a first-class restaurant with a very high standard, with excellent panorama view.

Very friendly and hospitable host - Roberta. Fab breakfast, home baked cakes every morning with a huge choice of goodies incl eggs anyway you like i.e. poached, scrambled, omelet's etc. Quiet location but within a very short walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the centre ...

Beautiful scenery, close to Palermo, sandy beaches and few local restaurants. We were out of season so I am sure it's more buzzing during the summer. There was a great restaurant with fresh sea food just across the Art Hotel.
A short walk to the beach and all of the attractions that Mondello has to offer. Easy to hop onto the 806 bus nearby to get into Palermo within 15-20 minutes. A few good restaurant/cafe options within a 5-15 minute walk from the apartment. A UniCredit Bancomat (ATM) is less than a 10 minute walk away to the East. There are a couple EuroNet ATM machines near Piazza Mondello but I try to avoid those whenever possible. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals to cook. Free parking for a car in front of the apartment or very close by.
Everything was just great: the spacious room, very comfortable, recently renovated and extremely clean; the position, 4 minutes walk to Mondello beach and less than 10 minutes to the village center, close to many bars and restaurants; the quality and quantity of the breakfast with local food. The kindness and generosity of the owner is something truly unique, also she gives great recommendations on local restaurants, things to eat, things to see... I definitely recommend this place and I will be back!
Stunning location. Very accommodating host, nothing was too much trouble for him, we arrived at the property earlier than expected and were welcomed in before the allocated time. The apartment was very tastefully decorated, with a beautiful outside area with a place for dining or simply taking in the views over Palermo and Mondello. Added bonus is the very secure parking on-site, accessed through electronic gates. Highly recommend this place.

If you want to book a room outside Palermo and close to the beautiful Mondello Beach. This hotel is great. 5-10 min walk to it. The garden was beautiful. My family of 5 stayed at 3 places on Sicily (Taormina, Mondello, and Cefalu) and this place was absolutley the best! Don’t hesitate! :D
I liked the family who own the house. They were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great - I was asked to decide the day before but then I was offered more if I wanted it on the day. Ercolo made dinner for us one evening which was lovely and he had recommendations for other places to eat. Bus stops are nearby - it was really easy to get into Palermo and about a 15 minute walk to the beach.
The location of the apartment is great; beach, stores, restaurants & nature park all at walking distance. The host was very helpful and responsive during our stay. We were there with two young kids in November with less opportunity to be outside, but the apartment is so spacious that the kids had plenty of room inside as well. Would love to visit again in summer and use the patio because it looks great.
Beautiful hotel in a perfect location for relaxing beach holiday as well as visiting Palermo. Angela and her team go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy and looked after. Nothing was too much trouble, they assisted us with everything from providing exceptional service at the hotel to booking taxis and and tables at the restaurants. We loved every minute at Domia and would definitely return!

Property was beautiful, very clean. Just a short walk to beautiful Mondello beach. The hotel has a great farm to table and ocean to table approach to their dining. Their menu changes daily with fresh local ingredients. A very beautiful and intimate dining experience. Very relaxing and tranquil property. I appreciate and admire the vision it took to bring this property to life.
I loved my stay Unico Hotel D'Arte! Monica, Livia, Veronica, and the rest of the staff are amazing and so kind! The property is a hidden gem and has the prettiest vibe and views. Breakfast each morning was lovely. My room and it's views were beautiful and it was hard to leave the balcony each day to visit Mondello and Palermo! Highly recommend!

I had a great stay at Il Girasole - will definitely be my first choice for accomodation next time I'm in Mondello!
