You need to walk 20 minutes for the sandy beach or 8 minutes with bus. (there is an option for non sandy beach around 500 meter, but we do not tried it).
The room size is big and breakfast is about 90% sweet pastry so good for kids.

The hotel staff was very kind, welcoming and polite. They wanted to make sure I had a great experience so they did what they could to make me feel comfortable. Besides, they helped me providing information about the place and ordered a taxi when I needed. The food was a plus with a variety of fruit, bread and drink options.

Mondello is stuck somewhere at the end of the 80's and is the last place to visit with family and kids. There is nothing to see or to do. The beach is anything but clean. Houses and streets are degraded and no one seems to care. Streets are dirty, piles of trash are everywhere.
Altough there are restaurants, the service and the offer is far behind of anything you get in other places in Italy. I would not visit Mondello again, but if one does want to go, I would advise to spend no more than one afternoon. This was my first time to Mondello.
This was my first time to Mondello. Overall, it was better than expected. My family was looking for a simple beach trip, and Mondello served this purpose very well. There were plenty of restaurants for us to enjoy in the area. There were private beach access areas where you can rent some beach chairs and an umbrella, plus plenty of public beach areas to access as well. If you needed to go into Palermo, you can catch a few different bus routes. We used the 806 bus route to get into more of the heart of Palermo in our case.

Mondello has a lot to offer anyone, from singles, young and old, families and retirees. We went in early May, so the weather was a bit on the cool side, but there was still plenty of people on the beach. The crowd size at that time of year was manageable. There are plenty of places to eat and we enjoyed good food. It is a very walkable area. It is not a far drive from Palermo City Center (average 30 -40 minutes depending on traffic).

We tried trattoria "L'angolo di Mondello Trattoria da Franco" on Piazza Mondello and "Alle Terrazze". The first one (Franco) is a family-driven local, traditional place, the second one is a first-class restaurant with a very high standard, with excellent panorama view.

Beautiful scenery, close to Palermo, sandy beaches and few local restaurants. We were out of season so I am sure it's more buzzing during the summer. There was a great restaurant with fresh sea food just across the Art Hotel.
I stayed at the property with my friend this June. It is situated wonderfully, around 10-15 minutes by foot to the beach, plenty of great restaurants, grocery shop, fishmongers nearby and a small cozy yard, so you won't be disturbed by tourists and traffic. The flat is cozy and clean, the host is super helpful and was ready to answer all our questions. I would definitely recommend this property if you're staying in Mondello, hope I will come back one day
We didn't expect that the hotel would have multiple private entries to the sea (stairs literally between rocks), which was an amazing opportunity to enjoy the sea without the crowd of Mondello. In addition, there 3 pools, and at least one of them had really warm salty water. Also for coffee lovers, you can request any coffee of your choice (or multiple ones) during breakfast, and it will be perfect, fresh, barista-made coffee.
A quiet family home with your own part to stay in. Very clean, modern, comfortable and well supplied. You can easily do meals in the kitchen. Have a little back yard with a hammock to relax in. Included clean drinking water! The bed was very comfortable. The beach is 2 minutes away. Easy to get to with the public bus. At the edge of Mondello outside the busyness of the main beach and a walking distance to the national park.
The host is lovely, polite and friendly. The villa is gorgeous!

The hotel staff is very nice and welcoming. The place is nice. It is very complete with a gym and bikes. You can easily go to the beach and to a lot of restaurants nearby. It is very close to the bus line that goes to Palermo city center (806). The coffee served at the breakfast is great. They offer transfer to the airport.

The view from the apartment is divine and the apartment is well equipped and very clean. It is about 10 minutes walk from the gorgeous beach (the last portion of the driveway is steep). It has a nice bbq area! The hosts were lovely and very responsive!

B&B Mondello Design was a perfect choice for our honeymoon! The property is gorgeous and a short walk to the beach & restaurants. It’s very easy to get to Palermo by bus. All the staff were fantastic and the breakfasts were delicious.

The hotel is beautiful!!! Beds comfortable. I would stay there again. We ate at the cafe and the food was excellent. Parking was right outside the hotel. The breakfast options were good too, although I did not eat.

It's a very calm space and the garden is at your disposal. A/C brand new and works very well. By walking 3 minutes you can join a bus stop to achieve the Mondello Beach (every 20 minutes)
