You need to walk 20 minutes for the sandy beach or 8 minutes with bus. (there is an option for non sandy beach around 500 meter, but we do not tried it).
The room size is big and breakfast is about 90% sweet pastry so good for kids.

The hotel staff was very kind, welcoming and polite. They wanted to make sure I had a great experience so they did what they could to make me feel comfortable. Besides, they helped me providing information about the place and ordered a taxi when I needed. The food was a plus with a variety of fruit, bread and drink options.

This was a last minute booking. The host was very welcoming, suggested some great places to eat and even left some drinks in the fridge for us!
The location was amazing, 2 minute walk to everything you need including the beach.
We felt very safe and content in this accommodation, felt like a holiday home with the outside area.

Mondello is stuck somewhere at the end of the 80's and is the last place to visit with family and kids. There is nothing to see or to do. The beach is anything but clean. Houses and streets are degraded and no one seems to care. Streets are dirty, piles of trash are everywhere.
Altough there are restaurants, the service and the offer is far behind of anything you get in other places in Italy. I would not visit Mondello again, but if one does want to go, I would advise to spend no more than one afternoon. This was my first time to Mondello.
This was my first time to Mondello. Overall, it was better than expected. My family was looking for a simple beach trip, and Mondello served this purpose very well. There were plenty of restaurants for us to enjoy in the area. There were private beach access areas where you can rent some beach chairs and an umbrella, plus plenty of public beach areas to access as well. If you needed to go into Palermo, you can catch a few different bus routes. We used the 806 bus route to get into more of the heart of Palermo in our case.

Mondello has a lot to offer anyone, from singles, young and old, families and retirees. We went in early May, so the weather was a bit on the cool side, but there was still plenty of people on the beach. The crowd size at that time of year was manageable. There are plenty of places to eat and we enjoyed good food. It is a very walkable area. It is not a far drive from Palermo City Center (average 30 -40 minutes depending on traffic).

We tried trattoria "L'angolo di Mondello Trattoria da Franco" on Piazza Mondello and "Alle Terrazze". The first one (Franco) is a family-driven local, traditional place, the second one is a first-class restaurant with a very high standard, with excellent panorama view.

Beautiful scenery, close to Palermo, sandy beaches and few local restaurants. We were out of season so I am sure it's more buzzing during the summer. There was a great restaurant with fresh sea food just across the Art Hotel.
Very pleasant stay in Mondello, Palermo. I was here with my partner for 10 nights.
There are minor flaws, but not enough to give a review with less than 4,5 stars.
Overall a great place, that shines in particular because of the owner Giulio. He was interested in helping you and making you feel at home everyday.
The quality of the space is similar to a good 4 star hotel, but has a more personal charme.
Also the rooftop has enough space for at least 10 people to sun bath. It also provides a shower. The view over Mondello is amazing
From the beginning our trip was excellent! The host, Francesco, contacted us a day before to arrange our arrival. He met us at the villa when we arrived, helped us park the car and showed us around. Our villa has a beautiful private outside terrace and a washing machine. It was clean and cozy inside. We had everything we needed for a two days stay. Francesco even brought us beach towels and we had a beach bag at the villa. The AC was great in all rooms as well.
Wonderful experience! We will definitely come back next summer.
Everything was just great: the spacious room, very comfortable, recently renovated and extremely clean; the position, 4 minutes walk to Mondello beach and less than 10 minutes to the village center, close to many bars and restaurants; the quality and quantity of the breakfast with local food. The kindness and generosity of the owner is something truly unique, also she gives great recommendations on local restaurants, things to eat, things to see... I definitely recommend this place and I will be back!

Our hosts and their daughters are the most friendly and welcoming family you can imagine. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The place is even more beautiful than in the pictures. The private beach beautiful swimming pool in combination with only a 30 min electric scooter ride to Palermo we thought was the ultimate combination to both relax and enjoy the beautiful culture that Sicily Palermo has to offer. We plan to come back with our extended family this Spring. Highly recommend!
Quiet location a short walk from the beach. Perfectly kept boutique property with a really homely and relaxed feel - yet still very stylish. Great size room with stunning ocean view. Excellent pool area to relax and enjoy the views. Good breakfast. Best of all were the amazingly helpful and friendly team who arranged us great restaurants every night including pickup and drop offs to/from the hotel. If you are going to Mondello, there is no better place to stay!
Giuseppe is a great host, he is very nice and greeted me personally, introduced his apartment in details. His place is spacious, clean and very safe. My car could park inside with a locked gate. I’d highly recommend this apartment to anyone who visit Mondello. It’s also an ideal place to stay if you visit Palermo with a car, it’s only 30min by car, and you can avoid the noise and hustle of the busy city.

We loved our stay at La casa di chico. Mondello is a beautiful beach town with a relaxed atmosphere with great bus links to the city of Palermo. Cristina was the perfect host and really helped us with recommendations. The property itself had everything we needed as a family of 3, we especially loved the terrace area. Overall we had a great time and would deffo recommend.
It was exceptionally clean, a beautiful house and property. The breakfast was fabulous everyday; Manuela is a charming host who made our stay a wonderful experience. It is only an easy 10 min walk to a beautiful beach. It was only a 5 min walk to get the bus to Palermo for a day of sightseeing.

The apartment was really comfortable, specially having the terrace and the kitchen made our stay quite nice. Having the beach in just walking distance truly made our trip memorable. Can also recommend the restaurant Alba beach super nearby for excellent ice creams, food and desserts.

We totally loved our stay here! A spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms and a living room to eat and work. 5 min relaxed walk to the beach, even less to the nearest store. Well equipped kitchen. The view from the balcony is lovely. We will definitely come back.
