Comfy beds, amazing shower. Kevin was super friendly and makes sure you’re fed very well at breakfast! Spiddal is a really nice area a short drive from Galway.
Run by a lovely couple. Welcoming and accomodating. Room was a good size, clean, cosy and comfortable. An easy walkable distance into the centre of Spiddal town. Stayed here after getting off the ferry at Rossaveel, from the Aran Islands. Really enjoyed chatting with Geraldine, sharing stories and practising As Gaeilge with her. Great location to have access to Galway city but also day trips around Connemara and the Aran Islands. Would definitely recommend staying here.
This property is like a home away from home. It is so comfortable, has everything you need and really allows you to relax as it is the perfect house for it! The beds were so comfortable, the couches were amazing and the facilities were top class! You are only a 2 minute drive from Spiddal and a short pleasant coastal drive to Galway city. I can’t speak highly enough about the Uplands
Geraldine our host was very welcoming, made us a cup of tea with biscuit on arrival. We were cycling the Wild Atlantic Way & Geraldina offered to drive us into Spiddal which was about 1.5 km for dinner. We did walk but as it was raining she came to try to find us on way back. So thoughtful.
There was a nice lounge we could relax in & chat to other guests.
Lots of information leaflets available for sightseeing & activities.
-Amazing home made breakfast. Perfect to start the day
