Friendly staff. A really nice vibe. The room was very comfortable with a fantastic view of Galway bay. The food was very good and obviously the Guinness was black magic

I loved the very warm welcome I received upon arrival. Myself and my partner went for dinner in the restaurant and we couldn't beat the waiting staff from the table (in the best way possible), we wanted for nothing, the service was impeccable and they were extremely attentive and professional. Absolutely top tier staff and service! The location was very convenient, a shopping complex not even a 5 minute walk from the hotel, its a 10 minute taxi ride from the city centre, so you get the closeness to the centre without the noise at night (very peaceful location).
Staff were super friendly and accomodating. Beds were comfy and the curtains blocked out the light really well. The parking was abundant, free and literally in front of the property. The soft duvets and mattresses caressed us caringly as we slept through the night unaware of what awaited us in the morning. I went for a dip in the sea, which was freezing, and returned to the hotel expecting a sneaky little breakfast. I was wrong, the breakfast slapped so hard it made me start speaking Gaelic. The succulent scrambled eggs were perfect, as were the tantalisingly tasty grilled tomatoes, caramelised to perfection. The coffee was not remarkable, but the breakfast was gobsmackingly good. By the time the breakfast was done with me, I could barely utter a word in English and it took me all day to get back to normal. Would definitely return if I go in the area again, even if it's just to eat

If you needed a quiet spot or company it was all here, the scenery is enough to make you think you could be a poet, artist, adventurer, the locals were welcoming you to share their surroundings, the boats at the pier and lobster pots back from their early morning sailing. Along the street away from the sea note the historic buildings as the new builds blend in......

Geraldine was very nice, she even offered to drive us to town, so we can have a pint. The B&B is at a perfect location between Galway and the Aran Island ferry port. We will return. The place is recommended.

Spiddal is a fantastic village still has it's old charm from 80 early 90,s . The no of village pubs have declined due to changes foodpubs decline in the use of old boozers, rs miss the old music of breeda Hughes pub, the character of the local shoppers at the corner. However 10 times better than the villages nearer galway who are now ruined by middle class bourgeoisie types who think they belong. Spiddal has a Lovely beach and pier lovely lakes nearby beautiful craft centre. The nead is a good spot and Joe Francis knows all the trials and chat of being one of the top members of Jack jolly soccer teams green army 1986 to 96. What a guy and his memories much better than dunphy.

Great location to stay if you want to go the Inis Mor on the Aran Islands. It is the gateway to Connemara so if you want to break your journey or have a base to travel from it is perfect. It's also very close to Barna beach which is lovely and close to Galway city as well. It's just over an hours drive to the fabulous Dogs Day Beach which is near Roundstone. Well worth the drive.
Great pubs with great music and food. The locals speaking Irish add to the experience.
Lovely craft village with loads of crafts on sale. Great pizzeria in Spideal.

Just outside of Galway, very beautiful and peaceful location. Craft village was very interesting. Lovely warm welcome from the locals. We ate at The Twelve and had a super meal. We noted they welcome dogs so next time we will stay for longer at this hotel and bring our dog!
Enjoyed our stay in Spiddal and the Are Eoinin B and B. Our host was very accommodating especially since we underestimated the driving time needed to get to the B&B. Room was ensuite with a large bathroom with a standing shower. The room was a little tight especially with our two travel cases. Windows in bathroom and room allowed for a cross-breeze. Floor was carpet. Mattress was a bit springy. The breakfast was spot-on! Lots of options and the cooked breakfast was delicious.
Everything. It was a bright, spacious and quiet retreat from city life, yet not far from Galway city. The house was furnished and equipped to a high standard and was spotless. We especially liked the conservatory dining area with views of Galway bay. Siobhan was great to deal with and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were just a couple, but the house could easily accommodate a family or up to 3 couples traveling together. Highly recommend the Uplands.
Geraldine was an exceptional host, we stayed there after a wedding and she even left the door unlocked for us and cooked us a beautiful full Irish in the morning. She made the stay even better with all her chat, felt like home away from home and she even dropped us back to the hotel to collect our car after the wedding. Highly recommend if you’re looking for scenic views from a traditional old Irish home
-Amazing home made breakfast. Perfect to start the day
-Rooms and bathrooms clean, well lit and tidy. With towels and soap included
-Easy connection between Galway and Spiddal by bus 424
-Kevin is an amazing, patient and helpful owner
(We checked in very late and he waited for us. We checked out earlier than usual the next day and he made an exception to prepare a delicious breakfast)
This property is like a home away from home. It is so comfortable, has everything you need and really allows you to relax as it is the perfect house for it! The beds were so comfortable, the couches were amazing and the facilities were top class! You are only a 2 minute drive from Spiddal and a short pleasant coastal drive to Galway city. I can’t speak highly enough about the Uplands
Views from rooms at the back are breath- taking. Staff welcoming and helpful. Food really nice but child missed the buffet style of usual hotel breakfast ie getting the cereal, fruit juice ect ( table service only, probably due to Covid) Had lunch, nice menu. Rooms spotless, staff great and parking right outside, no charge.
The cottage is in a lovely locaion, a 15 min walk into the town centre. The owner of the cottage was so helpful and a lovely lady as well. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay and wouldn't hesitate to recomnmend this cottage to anyone wishing to visit a great part of southern Ireland.
Clean rooms and facilities. Located above a pub with great food and a lovely view of the water. We stayed for one night with the plan of visiting the Aran Islands the next day. Located a 20 minute drive from Rossaveel Ferry which made it a great alternative to more expensive locations in Galway.
Efficient check-in. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The hotel has on-site restaurant for dinner. Breakfast is included and was good. Very convenient location to catch the morning Rossaveal ferry to Inis Mor. Convenient free parking right in front of hotel.
The owner was super friendly, thoughtful and gave us ideas on what to do around Spiddal and the Connemara region. The room was super clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. One of the best coffees we had in a while. Definitely a place to come back!
Geraldine is a kind host.My room was sparkling clean as well as the bathroom! She packed me a lovely breakfast cause could not eat at the morning due to my marathon in Connemara. The location is very handy, scienic route from Moycullen.
Highly recommended!A1.
Especially for this price a really good B&B. Good and good Irish breakfast, nice and punctual owner, perfect bed and bathroom, quiet area, clean. Just exactly what you want in a hotel.
If I visit the area again, I know where I'll stay!
Beautiful quaint cottage in a remote location. Amazing views and upon arrival adorable cows in the neighboring field. Easy walk to the sea and a short drive to nearby towns of Spiddal and Barna.
We really liked the hostess Gerlidine very friendly and helpful we really enjoyed our stay with her . very good location to explore Galway and Connemara and the Arran islands
We had a great stay for one night . The host Geraldine was really nice and it was a very peaceful location , We definitely be back when we visit west of Ireland again
