A beautiful and characterful hotel. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The host was lovely and accommodated our requests. Breakfast was excellent. We just wished we had a little more time to fully relax and enjoy.
The Flying Fish Stables is a traditional country pub in the quaint village of Windmill Hill. It offers home-cooked food, real ales and individually designed rooms. Taunton is 15 km away.

All the rooms are fully accessible - huge and comfortable.
The view is superb. The area is quiet, lovely birdsong!

We were allocated another hotel due to the Holiday Inn being refurbed, however the replacement was excellent, we stayed at the Hotel Ibis, Bridgewater, we had 1 twin & 1 double connecting rooms which were amazing. Loved the "industrial" feel and look of the decor. Breakfast was slow and had to wait for food to be replenished, however it was very good.
Just off junction 25 of the M5, this contemporary hotel combines good value, modern accommodation and friendly service with a convenient location for exploring Taunton and Somerset.

Breakfast was good. There was everything we would have wanted. My husband found the bed more comfortable than myself but I have a painful hip so it ached a bit. Pillows were comfy.
Hotel was ideal as we had our dog with us.
Likes- all the facilities, hospitality. Accuracy of information, easy to find the location, nice car parking, ground floor level, easy check -in with flexible times.
Dislikes- No Oven/ grill ( I know this when booking anyway)
