Victoria Hotel, hotel in Whitby

Boasting stunning cliff-top views over Robin Hood’s Bay, this grand, Victorian hotel is on the edge of the North York Moors.

The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived - very efficient, friendly and helpful. It was clear that they enjoyed working there. The restaurant was also excellent - there was a good choice on the menu and it was priced well. Our room was in the newly refurbished annex and was very well presented. There was also a welcoming G&T in the room when we arrived.

The west pier Lighthouse has a spiral column of stone stairs and provides remarkable opportunities for photographs of the town, from a different perspective. Well worth the short climb but is often closed during winter months and during repairs. Modest entry fee.
