Outstanding property with spacious garden surrounds, No expense spared in furnishing inside and out. The rooms were great and furnished in period style to suit the castle. So much to see inside and out. Dining was perfect and staff exceptional and very attentive. Family run business that ensures the customer experience is the best.

Whitby Abbey
Whitby is known for welcoming pooches of all types and sizes, and its coastal setting is ideal for stretching the legs of your best furry friend. The ruins of Whitby’s Benedictine abbey cast a dramatic silhouette atop the East Cliff, above the North Sea. Dogs are allowed into most parts of the grounds and they’ll love catching the sea breeze as you stroll by.

Easy to find. Good location just outside of the town centre but an easy walk. View of Whitby Abbey with the sunset reflecting of it. Nice comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast
The reception when checking in was efficient and friendly. Our room was comfortable and had a view of Whitby Abbey in the distance. The location of the hotel is excellent.
very clean and comfortable room with an amazing view of Whitby Abbey. Staff extremely helpful and friendly, Delicious continental breakfast. Location perfect for attractions
The room was modernised and the bathroom had an excellent shower. The restaurant was excellent with a terrific team both preparing and serving our meals. The portion size was too big for my wife and I, and we don’t like leaving food. Grounds are well kept and we had a look at the wedding chapel which is beautiful. View from our room on the second floor was superb, in one direction Whitby Abbey and to the south the North Yorks National Park.
Ideal location 👌 next to a bus stop and far enough away from town centre. Also had a great view of Whitby Abbey, too.
I was here for the Whitby Goth weekend. I wish I could've stayed longer.
Location good , quirky cottage , nice view of Whitby abbey from bedroom window. Close to everything. Pool very close by. Bed comfortable and bedding crisp & clean.
The property is clean, tidy and has a homely feel throughout. We had nice weather which made the back outside area great for the little ones to burn off some steam!
The location is great too - only a short drive to some local sites. We visited Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby Abbey, Whitby and Scarborough while there.
The visitors book it’s a brilliant touch too!
