The staff need a special mention because they were all extremely friendly and helpful. The
room was a very good size with a clean modern bathroom. Despite the bed being two singles zipped together to form a double, this didn’t bother me and it was extremely comfortable.
The facilities are fabulous, with a small but well equipped gym and lovely swimming pool and great spa facilities.
The beach is a short walk(15-20 min) away through the park and city centre.
I ate at the restaurant on both nights and the food was lovely.. hats off to the chef. The breakfast was also great. However, the atmosphere in the restaurant felt a little flat.
Once an elegant 19th Century home, the "Lauriston" as it was called then was converted into a hotel in 1933.

Bed was comfy. Room was nicely decorated. Carpet was new (had a new carpet smell). Location close to a great pub was good. Walking distance into town centre. Staff member when we checked in was very pleasant. (We didn’t have breakfast, so can’t comment on that, as it didn’t start early enough for us as we had an appointment to get to).

We always stay here in Bournemouth. The staff are always wonderful, the room is lovely and spacious and the location is perfect for us. We were allowed to check in early and the breakfast buffet had a great selection
