We enjoyed our stay at Dragon Hotel very much. The room was clean, the towels were large and fluffy, and the bed was comfy. We chose the hotel because it was close to where we needed to be in Wales, and my husband has a bit of passion for half-timber buildings. The building did not disappoint him and the surrounding area was a visual and historical delight. Food was really extraordinary! Our dinner, the first night, was excellent--interesting, well-prepared, and delicious! I'd give the meal 5 stars! Breakfast each morning was fine, with options to please almost anyone. The outside of the hotel looks great and some of the public spaces were very atmospheric.

The room we had was large, clean, and had some charming historic elements (i.e., fireplace mantle and exposed beams). Half of us were in a separate "pod" at the rear of the hotel; it, too, was clean, attractive, and comfortable. It is a great value, especially when you factor in the amazing breakfast - our best breakfast of a 4-week stay in the UK & Ireland.
