This former Victorian vicarage offers 4-star accommodation in mid-Wales. There is WiFi throughout, off-road parking and an electric car charging point.

A generous continental breakfast is available between 7 and 9 am.

The breakfasts were the best breakfasts of our trip with tea that set a new standard for my tea making at home and a variety of tasty dishes to choose from, some of which included some homegrown produce. The rooms and bathrooms have everything one needs and more. We found it a convenient base to explore central and some of North Wales from: Aberystwyth, Devil's Bridge, and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. The Kerry Ridge walk and the Textile Museum, both local attractions recommended by Tim, were some of our Wales highlights. For evening meals, we enjoyed our meal at Radnorshire Arms on one of the evenings but couldn't find anything in Newtown that we were wild about. Afterwards, we thought we should have done a picnic-style meal in the garden instead of the Newtown places we tried. (The Dolford Inn was unfortunately not serving meals when we were there.) Overall, we loved it and were sorry to have to leave.

Beautiful lodge, made and looked after with love! Everything you need is provided. Great location, nice and quiet but a short drive or walk to the village. Owner was brilliant from before arriving until we left, cold not so enough to make our stay perfect. Definitely recommend!

Lovely quaint OLD property built 1650. Large rooms, Power shower, quiet. Host were very attentive, nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfast and really nice to sit around a very large table with the other guests and chat rather than on your own.
