The room was small but perfect for an overnight stay and had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and professional and the information provided meant that I never felt lost on a large meandering complex. The breakfast provided was very good with the type of choice and surroundings you might expect from a good quality hotel. The college itself is in a perfect location for access to the centre of Cambridge and meant that nothing was too far away. What makes staying in one of Cambridge's historic colleges special though is knowing that some of history's great people have also trod these paths and corridors, in this case Charles Darwin.

if you don’t mind housing in what is very nice university dorm space, this is a great find. The double room is larger than at most B&B’s and everything works. the porter staff are helpful and there is a cafe on the premises. it’s a fifteen minute walk to the center of town (defined as King’s College) so it doesn’t take very long to get to the heart of the tourist areas. It’s a 5 minute walk to one of the bridges where they hawk the punting trips, if that’s of interest. basically, all of Cambridge is accessible.
