In the Exmoor National Park, the 13th-century Luttrell Arms offers medieval features and picturesque gardens.

The Luttrell Arms was charming, full of interest and history, being a very old inn. It had so many different places for guests, including the lovely garden with a great view of Dunster Castle. It also had two very comfortable guest lounges. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was good.

We received a very warm welcome at the Red Lion. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent - a large double bed with an excellent mattress and the quality of the bed linen and towels was extremely high. We had an evening meal and breakfast. Both were very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Red Lion and would definitely go back if we were in the area.

The Beach Hotel, hotel in Dunster

The Beach Hotel offers incredible views across the Bristol Channel and the West Somerset Railway. Situated in Minehead, this luxurious hotel is on the outskirts of Exmoor National Park.

Fabulous place to stay. Staff wonderful as was the breakfasts. Just one little niggle, the curtains in our room were not lined, so by 5.30 a.m. the room is lit up by the morning sun, and we are wide awake. Would recommend that the hotel gets "black out " lining curtains that fit behind the main curtains. Other than that all excellent.

The room was spacious, we had the twin which although not ensuite has a bathroom with an excellent shower nearby for sole use. The view was out over the stream and countryside. It was quiet and yet right next to the watermill, an entrance for Dunster Castle. We particularly appreciated the fridge in the hallway which is where the supply of fresh milk for each room was kept.

Cosy, comfy, friendly - you could tell as soon as you walked up the path, through the lovely flowery garden, that it was going to be a great place to stay. And it was all so welcoming, with a great breakfast and lovely touches like a range of locally produced teas and 'proper' biscuits in the room - and all in such a historic location, so close to Dunster castle

Dunster Castle Hotel is a picturesque, historical building in the middle of what has to be one of the most attractive villages we have ever visited in England. The hosts were friendly, attentive and went out of the way to make us welcome. The breakfast was exceptional--we were spoiled for choice--and the room was extremely clean and comfortable.

Exmoor House was beautiful. James and Jane were extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast served was delicious with a good selection offered. Location is wonderful as we attended in a Wedding nearby in Dunster Tithe Barn. The house is also just a quick 8mins walk from Dunster Castle which is stunning and had friendly knowledgeable staff. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Exmoor House and would definitely visit again.

The location is excellent, very close to one of the entrances to Dunster Castle and also to a lovely open garden. The key safe worked well and it was easy to collect the keys. This is a duplex apartment - ie on 2 floors and nice for us to go upstairs to shower and to sleep. Its got a large comfy lounge, and also tables at which to eat or work. The kitchen has everything one needs & it has quality equipment & plates, mugs etc. It was cool in the very hot weather. Nice to have a car parking space reserved for the appartment.

We were made very welcome and the room was a good size and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the landlady in particular was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Location is ideal and just opposite the entrance to Dunster Castle which is well worth a visit. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and recommended.
