I could quite happily have spent 2 days just in Dunster then used it as a base for the wider area - the beaches and even Cheddar gorge. We ate dinner at the Luttrell Arms which was nice but Reeves looked good too. We had coffee and cake at Tessa's Tea rooms and bought stuff in the independent shops. The only thing I'd have changed was the weather as we had a few downpours but that's Britain for you!!

Iys a very old village with more grade 2 listed buildings than anywhere else in England. The Castle and grounds are always good to visit. We had a good choice of walks in the surrounding countryside. There are a few good places to eat including a very good Aisian restaurant. It's very easy to get around the village.

Dunster is on the edge of Exmoor National Park, which imho is the most underrated national park in the UK. The views are magnificent, with small cozy towns, beautiful nature, good roads for walking, cycling and mountain biking. Dunster itself is a small cozy village with a proper Castle, although through shortness of time we didn't visit it.

The small town has a lot to offer - lovely walks around the castle, good restaurants to choose from, interesting shops and a superb art gallery with a labrynth of beautiful works of art. A must has to be the West Somerset railway which you can catch the steam train from Dunster station - Dunster Beach is close by where can walk to Blue Anchor along the stunning coastal path. Hathaway Restaurant is quirky but great food. Yarn Market Hotel offers a good menu in homely surroundings.

Delicious breakfast ....very good assortment of pastries , cerals, fruits. The hot choices were very good and cooked to perfection. We loved the staff. They were all wonderful esp Jules, Freya, Lucy, Charlie. Dinner was superb. The fish n chips were an A+++ and we are from New England. The hotel is so steeped in unique history and each nook and crannies reflects this beauty. Our room ( #1)was fantastic.I The Secret Garden was indeed a lovely secret haven for afternoon tea.

Exceptional. Our second visit to the hotel and it just gets better. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive, the bedrooms are clean, beds comfortable and room well maintained. The communal areas are decorated to a high standard with a well thought through, quintessential country house hotel theme. The hotel welcomes dogs and everyone made a great fuss of ours. Dunster is a very pretty medieval village with a good choice of quaint shops and restaurants.

Get yourself to Millstream Cottage and Dunster as quickly as you can! What a perfect B&B in a perfect village. We couldn't have been more comfortable in our room overlooking the beautiful front garden and the breakfast each day was simply delicious. Dunster itself has plenty to see and do and all within easy walking distance of the cottage. Further afield, Exmoor was a lovely surprise. We'd be back to Millstream Cottage next weekend if we could.

Fabulous room with seating area, overlooking the garden. The bath! Essential after a 50km run! Lovely toiletries. Really comfy bed. Fridge with complimentary water. Fan which was appreciated as so hot. Food was fabulous, as were the restaurant staff- the same 2 ladies seemed to be there all weekend, as was the lovely lady on reception. Staff all so friendly. Rear access to the castle and to my race.

Fourth time staying here, each time in a different room. Delighted with all of them. Love all the thoughtful little extras, such as bath bubbles and sun cream for my face. Fresh milk in the fridge outside our door, along with spare supplies of drinks and snacks. Lovely location for exploring the village, with handy on-street parking right outside the door from 6pm to 9am.

Beautiful hotel, situated right on Dunster high street a two minute walk from the castle. Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated with the biggest bed I’ve ever slept in! The owners were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. We don’t really eat cooked breakfasts so cannot comment on this but the coffee was delicious and so was the toast. Highly recommend this hotel.

From the minute we got there (late as usual), we were made to feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Immaculately clean and breakfast was to die for. I've stayed in many hotels and locations and this was by far the best. I will definitely be going back. Thank you to our hosts and see you again.
