Hotel Pont Royal offers elegant accommodation and free internet. It is in the trendy Saint Germain des Prés area on Paris’s left bank, near art galleries and the Louvre. Completely happy with our stay. Location was great, hotel lovely and staff were ALL completely...
Just 325 ft from Rue du Bac Metro Station (line 12), this hotel has a 24-hour front desk, a restaurant and a panoramic terrace with city views. Hotel in very good location. Staff excellent!!!
Featuring a bar and a terrace, J.K. Place Paris is located in Paris, a 4-minute walk from Orsay Museum and 0.4 miles from Musée de l'Orangerie.
Amazing museum ...INCREDIBLY crowded. So disappointing! It was impossible to get close to many of the works one hopes to see. Folks were shuffling through some of the exhibits, body to body, like herds of cattle. I apologized to my family for insisting on visiting Orsay. We wasted half a day -- our last day in Paris -- and could have been enjoying so many other options.
A must see! The collection of impressionist is probably the best in the world. Hosted in a old train station. I would also suggest an 'extension' to this museum by going to the museum of l'Orangerie in the Tullieries close to the Place de la Concord to see beautiful, large paintings of Monet in a small and easy to navigate venue.
ART LOVER make time for this museum. Blown away by this place. you can manage this place in a few hours and it is packed with some of the most interesting and famous treasure from classical periods. Seriously the best museum I have ever been to and I travel.
Get there early in the morning when they first open and head all the way up to the 5th floor. We had it all to ourselves for 20 minutes! Great views through the many windows. So much amazing art to enjoy!
One of the Best Museums in Paris. Try to go on a Thursday, as it closes late. Also if you had taken the Eurostar, you can get Tickets 2 for 1. Plan about 5 hours to enjoy all the exhibits. Great souvenirs in the museum stores.
They had an exposition on Rousseau, which was great. You can rent English telephonic guides to accompany your tour. Great layout for kids and the cafe on first floor is wonderful given its size. Take the escalator behind the cafe to get to the very top, then work your way downstairs. You can get great shots of Sacre Coeur from here. The tickets are really cool. Oh yeah, excellent art too!
The rooms are newly remodeled and very nice. The location was terrific. Just a few minutes walk to Place de Concorde, the Louvre museum, the D'Orsay museum, the Seine river, views of the Eiffel Tower, ... I could go on and on. The tree lined neighborhood is classic Paris. Busy with foot traffic, bicycles, scooters, cars and buses. You get the flavor of the pace of Paris watching them all go by. Lots of local brasseries, restaurants, markets and shops along the street outside.
The hotel is located about 3 blocks from the Orsay Museum, a couple of blocks from the Seine, and in a quiet area with lots of art galleries nearby. It's an easy walk to the Rue St. Germain des Pres with lots of shops, and to the Louvre across the river. The hotel is small, but quiet, my room was elegantly furnished and comfortable, and the staff were all helpful (especially Marie). The breakfast offerings were fresh and tasty.
Very nice little hotel in a great area. I could easily walk to Orsay museum, Jardins de Luxemburg and Rodin museum. Many shops around and nice restaurants not very far away. The room was spotless and the staff is very friendly. I had a great stay!
Musée d'Orsay because is not too big with really good paintings and they have helpful audio guides.
Visit the Musée d'Orsay and see masterpieces of impressionists and post-impressionists.
