Again as I have said before get the Paris Museum Pass help us avoid a longer line, and the museum has so much beautiful art, and well laid out for the most part by year so easy to follow and understand the changes in art. And the food in the museum is better than any museum resturant I have ever been too, and better than most regular resturants in the US.

Half a day is the minimum you need there.

Half a day is the minimum you need there. The building is amazing, the expositions are amazing, the view on the Seine is great from the big clock. The baggage check is quite strict, not even the small water bottles are allowed.

Art Nouveau features in this museum on the second floor, along with some sculptures by Camille Claudel, assistant and lover of Auguste Rodin. A wonderful museum can one can view in a few hours. I didn't get to visit the auxiliary museum nearby, but hope to on a future visit to Paris.

Better than the Louvre, in my opinion, particularly if you prefer more modern art - better layout and and more interesting presentation. If you don't have much time in Paris, skip the Louvre and head straight to D'Orsay

Amazing museum ...INCREDIBLY crowded. So disappointing!

Amazing museum ...INCREDIBLY crowded. So disappointing! It was impossible to get close to many of the works one hopes to see. Folks were shuffling through some of the exhibits, body to body, like herds of cattle. I apologized to my family for insisting on visiting Orsay. We wasted half a day -- our last day in Paris -- and could have been enjoying so many other options.
