Walking around the abbey in the evening was really lovely, and is definitely a bonus when staying here. The bed was comfortable too, and the free secure parking was good.

This beautiful property is an oasis of calm and yet is just a short drive to the banks of the Loire and the lovely villages of Montsoreau and Fontvraud. Welcoming and helpful staff. Beautiful and good value onsite restaurant. Spa pool a bonus. Large and quiet rooms, no TV, no Radio, but good enough WiFi for your streaming needs.

Lovely ground floor room with patio. Amazing views of the Chateau. Quirky place where you have breakfast in a cave. Very enjoyable stay.

This is a great find. Pearl is wonderful - she welcomed us with a glass of rosé wine, some nibbles and chocolates! A mine of information, she even phoned the restaurant (which we'd already booked) to make sure we got the cosy table by the log fire! Breakfast was delicious and excellent value for money! If you're visiting Fontevraud Abbey her house is brilliantly placed almost opposite the entrance and the restaurant was a 2 minute walk! (Chinon and Saumur and other major Loire attractions are also easy to reach by car.)
