Beautiful - Try late night cruise on an ordinary and cheap public ferry. It will take you around the harbour multiple stops and return you back to your starting point. Great sight-seeing at a fraction of the cost of touristic setups. And if any place takes your fancy jump off and rejoin the ferry later.

MY tip is: GO to Sydney Harbour!

MY tip is: GO to Sydney Harbour! It is beautiful and friendly and all the ferries coming and going are so delightful to watch and ride! We have been to Sydney 3 times (from USA) and we always have a great time! If you can, climb to top of bridge - and it was a climb for me (55years old) with my 21 year old and we both loved it! (one more step and I wouldn't have made it but there was not one more step!!)

Definitely take a tour of the harbour and then walk around, it’s busy, it’s funky and it’s full of history. Markets at the weekend at a quirky touch. It’s wonderful on the harbour and if not much time take a ferry ride.

Brilliant I wish I had bought property 40+ years ago, nevertheless it’s always there beautiful and exciting as ever to see, knowing what I know now, I would have explored further suburbs afield that had the Harbour lapping at its shores. Visits to the annual Vivid displays is a must, either by foot, ferry or view from the popular Harbour restaurants.

If you have the time, do a lunch cruise and this can help to see the major harbour attractions without having to spend additional money to see the same things. Additionally, as you are seeing the majority of attractions on the cruise (suggest at least a three hour lunch cruise), you can save precious time to sightsee other areas.

Fantastic location in North Sydney the property is ideally located with lots of restaurants, shops and supermarkets locally. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the pillows were exceptional. Although just out of the CBD it’s only just across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and there’s a train station nearby too.

We had a room with view of Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. We can view the sun rise over the Opera House in the morning. Every night around 8:20 pm, view the small fire work near the Opera House. Not sure what it is for, but it is a little bonus for our trip. Very good breakfast, staff are very attentive. Short walk to train station and light rail.

Clean, well laid out. The location in Paddington was superb. Close to parks (for walking and exercising), all sorts of shops and nice restaurants. Loved the fact the public transit system worked so well (same bus to Bondi Beach or Sydney Harbour, just different directions). Would stay again without hesitation

The location was amazing, right beside the opera house, Sydney harbour bridge, restaurants, shops, the ferry and the tram. The room had plenty of storage and amenities. We didn’t use the restaurant but I believe there was a good choice for breakfast. The rooftop pool was lovely for a dip at the end of the day. The hotel is a bit older and the layout of the floors are interesting with stairs on landings. If mobility or steps are an issue you might want to mention this when booking.
