City Park
Slap bang in the middle of Launceston, this botanic beauty encloses patches of floral masterpieces, which bloom with colour in autumn and spring. Wander past landmarks like an over-sized chessboard, monument and an ornate Victorian drinking fountain. Perhaps the quirkiest feature of the park is its collection of Macaque monkeys, who can be observed between 08:30 and 16:30 each day.

Monkey enclosure in the middle of the Park is worth a look...
Monkey enclosure in the middle of the Park is worth a look as it is free but I felt so sorry for them as they looked bored and hot and the enclosure should probably be bigger for the number of monkeys.

Location is nice opposite city park. Walking distance to the centre of Launceston. Reasonable price for a nice clean comfortable motel style room. Parking is good. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Clean , modern recently renovated room , great location near city park . Walking distance to cafes. Restaurant on site, but did not try, Comfy bed. Free parking- which is a bonus as Launceston has very few places that aren’t metered parking, Very quiet at night. Amazing price point
The location was convenient and close to what we wanted to do such as being right across City Park and walking distance to the mall. We liked that it was located on the quieter side of town.
The bathroom had a good layout and lovely modern look.
Our room was clean and had a lovely vista.
We only had interaction with Front Reception staff members on check in and check out who were both lovely.
It reminded us of Japan with beautiful natural woods and concrete interiors. Very quiet and calming. Loved sitting in the bar for happy hour at the beautiful front table. Hotel staff recommended we visit Rosevears (stunning views) and The Royal Oak Hotel (food was amazing). Walked across the street to the gorgeous City Park and watched Japanese monkeys wow. Delightful! Slept really well in the cozy bed. Would stay again!
it was raining when I arrived so entering the room which was warm and toasty was very homey. the bed's heated blanket was on and pleasantly inviting, great welcome from the wintry cold outside.
the location is walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, banks, the city park and other attractions.
The location of this hotel in the centre of the CBD was ideal for visiting City Park and the shops and cafes. The hotel has an old fashion feel and the staff are helpful. There are great places to eat within a couple minutes walk.
The apartment was very modern with all the needed amenities for a good stay. We were able to cook our own food in the kitchen which was helpful. The showers had a lovely pressure. The beds or pillows weren’t the comfiest. The heating was great for cold winter nights. Great location, 5 minutes to centre of shops, 10’minutes to the water and 10 minutes to city park which has monkeys. Paid but for parking but was useful. Definitely worth staying as a family.
