We were extremely satisfied with the hotel. It was definitely more than what the pictures showed. The friendliness of the staff, the excellence of the breakfast, and its location being just a 5-minute walk from both the train and metro stations… In short, we left the hotel more than happy after a 3-night stay with our 3-year-old daughter. Thank you again for everything, and we hope to visit again!

We recently stayed at Bassena Hotel and had a great experience. The hotel’s location is fantastic – it’s centrally situated with easy access to key attractions, public transportation, and some nice local spots. It was perfect for both exploring and coming back to relax.
What stood out to us was the eco-friendly approach the hotel takes. From sustainable toiletries to efficient energy use, it’s clear Bassena cares about minimizing its environmental impact. It was refreshing to stay somewhere that prioritizes sustainability without sacrificing comfort.
The breakfast was another highlight. There was a good variety of fresh, quality options that felt a notch above the typical hotel breakfast. However, while the food was delicious, we found the price a bit high. For those who prioritize a hearty breakfast, it’s worth it, but others might want to consider dining options nearby.
Overall, Bassena Hotel is a great choice for eco-conscious travelers who value a central location and a bit of luxury in their stay.

The breakfast was amazing - there was great choice. I am on a carb free/ sugar free eating plan and I found many items to eat. The staff are professional, friendly and very helpful. The whole hotel had an old style charm. It was located within walking distance to Stephansdom and also close to the tram and subway stops.

Take the number 1 tram all the way to it’s last stop (Prater woods). From there take the Lilliput train to Prater. Cutest small train ever. You can buy a round trip ticket for 6 Euro and can get off and on once without buying another ticket.

Great amusement Park for everyone.
Great amusement Park for everyone. You will find something for everyone there- adrenaline seekers or not so brave types, all ages. You don't have to pay in, only pay for rides you choose and its very reasonably priced. There's lots of places to eat. Great place for a day trip.

Being one of the oldest amusement park, it is also the least safe that I have ever encountered. Our daughter bumped her nose during one of the attraction's dive. I imagine a smaller child might get thrown out. One ticket seller sold us more ticket than we asked and responded in a rude manner when we returned it. Isn't supposed to be a "fun" park? I guess they haven't invented "Employee Training" when this park was built and try to live in the past.
