Ramsau is amazing, beautiful scenery, many restaurants and attractions, especially for kids. The local Erlebnisbad (aquacenter) is amazing, nearby Rittisberg is absolutely wonderful for kids. Many lifts closeby within a short driving distance, the Dachstein main lift basically right in Ramsau.

Very good location with plenty of choices if you like hiking, ferrata (klettersteig in Germain), running, or skiing. I stayed here with 10year old daughter and we could find lots of activities together and she liked it as I did.

if u want to visit it u need to book your Gondola seat (ascent and descent) at this website https://www.derdachstein.at
for an extra it is possible to visit also the ice palace! it is very interesting! inside u can find many ice sculptures!
but pay attention because if u want to visit it u need to cross the suspended bridge! and if you suffer from vertigo ... but it is a unique experience!!!

During our stay, we visited Rittisberg coaster, Silberkar watterfalls and finally magnificient Dachstein. It was all great, lots of hiking trails. Just be careful - it's nearly impossible to buy anything anywhere on Sunday and restaurants are closing usually around 18pm. Otherwise we liked everything!

Several restaurants with excellent typical austrian food, but kitchen closes usually at 20.30h latest. Stunning panorama when good weather, amazing views onto Dachstein mountain. Plenty of walking and hiking tours available, including climbing. Prices are comparable to Germany, so not a cheap location but worth the money.

We have got a typical austrian - german style hotel with very well organized processes inside. On arrival we've got a summer cards and welcome drink cards. The room was not luxurious one, but well equipped, very clean and spacious, with breathtaking views through the windows. In the morning we have got the breakfast by demand. Although the breakfast was not included into the price, there was not an obstacle for the staff to serve it for us for an extra price.
We traveled with 2 years old child so we appreciated spacious apartment, swimming pool after skiing and animals next to the hotel. Eggs from their hens are served for breakfasts which were great by the way. I also recommend dinner where was bufet and served meal too.
There is paid cross-country ski route next to the hotel which wasn´t adjusted too well but this wasn´t mistake from hotel.
We will be glad to return here even in the summer.
Extremely well-run, clean, quiet, warm and comfortable hotel. Excellent food, clean and comfortable rooms, well-equipped bathrooms, attentive and helpful owners of the hotel: they are always around and make themselves available for questions or a snack (including free, homemade Christmas cookies)! I look forward to returning to this wonderful hotel: a true secret tip (Geheimtipp)! Thanks for the lovely few days in beautiful Ramsau!
I had a very short, yet absolutely lovely stay at the Hotel Berghof. The personnel was very friendly; the location and facilities: the dream!; the room very clean and comfortable. The highlights of my stay: the incredible balcony view and the exceptionnal food 🤍
Nice place just a few steps from the Talstation of the Dachtein Gletscherbahn. The rooms are OK, but overall the furnishing of the hotel is rather from the 80s/90s. I would expect a little bit more for the price.
