The well-stocked bar sells a range of award-winning real ales and fine world wines. There is a cosy open fire and a spacious heated patio area. Food is served daily and the homemade menu features a variety of filling mains as well as lighter options. The Sunday roasts are a favourite with the locals. We stayed 3 Nights, would have stayed longer if we could have. Lovely location, Food was excellent, Beds were very comfy & Staff were among the best we encountered on our 4 week Holiday. We will definitely be returning for another stay.
Tarporley

EVERYTHING!!!! This is THE gold standard for pub + lodging! The moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and shown to our room. Dinner was fabulous! Our room, the 'Shire' was a ''family room' with much more space than we needed :) The breakfast provided a great selection and was delicious! The staff was amazing - Emma greeted us, Joe and Ben served us drinks and dinner and Kirsten (GM) was around all evening! They even allowed us to extend our stay 'on the fly' :) This place is now our FAVORITE stay ever!!!!
Chester
Golden Eagle is located in Chester, 700 metres from Chester Racecourse and 5.3 km from Chester Zoo. This 4-star inn features free WiFi and a bar. ACC Liverpool is 32 km from the inn and Philharmonic Hall is 32 km away. It's a classic, three rooms over a sedate Pub. The room was eclectic and cozy. The owner Martin was warm and gracious. The pub serverd a great steak and the continental breakfast really set me up for the day. I like small hotels and pubs with rooms.
Church Minshull
The characterful, 18th-century Badger Inn provides stylishly appointed accommodation, 5 miles outside Winsford, Cheshire. With a cosy bar and restaurant, this traditional village inn offers full cooked breakfasts, free parking and free Wi-Fi. We stayed in the King suite and the pics online do not do it any justice, this room is HUGE, and the Jacuzzi bath was huge too, beautiful high ceilings with wooden beams! Breakfast was defo worth the £10!!
Knutsford
Dating back to 1860, The Dog in Over Peover is in the heart of the quaint village. This typical village inn offers a restaurant and a pub serving real local and national ales. It has free Wi-Fi throughout and free private parking. What a lovely, super dog friendly place, amazing staff, great food, comfy, spacious yet warm and cosy. Hospitality at its best. We were welcomed so warmly and treated so very well by all. The most enjoyable stay one could ask for. We were extremely well fed and watered with delicious food and cocktails by the most friendly, delightful staff. All our requests were accommodated with ease. Charlie dog had a fantastic time too, he had so much fuss and his very own treat made for him, they are sooooo dog friendly. The rooms were very warm and pleasant, I appreciated the pretty cups and saucers, real coffee etc. They also smell wonderful, seriously the nicest smelling room I've stayed in. Very comfortable beds. Nice furnishings. A nice clean bathroom with walk in shower and lovely soap that didn't make my skin react, for a change, much appreciated! Breakfast really was excellent as was the coffee. I cannot recommend this place enough. There are nice little touches everywhere that set it apart from the norm. But the staff here, they really are wonderful. A home from home but with far better food and hospitality!

Great walks right from the doorstep into the National Trust reserve and war memorial. We stopped of on our way back from Glasgow and had the dog with us - the staff were very accomodating and it was an easy place to stay with kids and dog. Pool facilities were great and kept everyone amused and relaxed. Dinner in the hotel was good but overpriced. Breakfast was smashing.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Big room with a lot of space. Good food (breakfast and dinner). After pub closes and there are no events, it is quiet.
The BoHotel is very quirky, lots of character in an old building which has been lovingly renovated and refurbished. The rooms are all very comfortable and decorated in interesting and tasteful furnishings. Very comfortable beds, nice ensuite bathroom, kettle, tea & coffee, snacks too. Nice restaurant downstairs convenient for drinks, dinner, breakfast, etc..
Historic inn . Great location .
We stayed at the Hinton Guest House for a nearby wedding (at The Roebuck Inn) and the location was superb, just a 10 minute walk to/from the venue. The room we were allocated was nice, comfortable, clean and had an en-suite bathroom. Ann was really friendly and helpful, too.
If you like independent guest houses then this place is perfect. Had a ground floor room this time which I loved. (But I did like the room I had on tour with the smart tv) Would choose here again if my usual premier inn was booked.
Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Location was good for Chester and Liverpool visits. Clearer Instructions on how to find place would be helpful, as it was not signposted as Innkeepers Lodge it was signed posted Cheshire which was confusing.
The character of the Inn is fabulous, including a ghost story! We stayed in the Penthouse suite which gave us plenty of room and a spacious bathroom. The roll top bath was great! It was good to be able to get a night cap before bed in such an historic inn too
My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay, at this excellent guest house. The owners and staff could not have been more helpful. The room was of a good size and the breakfast excellent. We knew before we arrived that they didn't offer dinner, however, there were plenty of places locally to eat.
