We stopped over here as part of a longer journey and were really surprised at how lovely it was. The staff were amazing - I’m not sure of the name of the man who greeted us and served us, but he was really friendly and incredibly helpful. The room was lovely and clean and the village sweet. We ate in the restaurant and the food was wonderful with many veggie options. This will be my go-to stopover when heading from London to the South West

Dinner/ Breakfast Good Choice of food on both occasions.Carvery choice good.Room good size.Very large car park with excellent family outside facilities.
A lovely country pub in a good location just off the A303 at Wincanton. Staff and service was excellent. Rooms of a good size too. A good choice of food for dinner and breakfast. Great value for money. I'd happily recommend it to anyone.
Location was very convenient near the A303 road. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The outdoor seating area was well suited for drinks and snacks. The restaurant served excellent dinner meal at a reasonable price. The breakfast was somewhat basic, but ample.
The room was spacious and well equipped. Our room had a good sized ensuite shower room. The room had patio doors leading to the rear of the property. For access to the surrounding areas it was a great place to stay. Plenty of parking. The breakfast and all other food there was plentiful and well prepared, presented and served. The "pensioners specials" were great value and good variety. biscuits every day is always a nice touch.
This place is out of an old British storybook. Very popular local pub. Full English breakfast was fantastic. Both the version cooked by the chef and also the one made by Gill the innkeeper. Very welcoming and accommodating staff at the Inn.
