Fabulous place from 1450. So well decorated, warm and inviting. I had a long chat with a most charming woman(58) (did not get her name) in the reception. A former teacher. It is nice when staff takes the time to talk with you about the hotel and other things. It made my stay perfect! Just book this place!

Our room was large, comfortable and had a view over the Hotel's garden. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant was superb. We had the tasting menu which was beautifully presented, inspiring and utterly delicious. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Breakfast was a bit rushed but wide selection of foods.

The property was a short walk into the town center, the Bell inn a great pub on the doorstep. The small garden was lovely to soak up the sun( if you are lucky enough, which we were) A small well presented place to enjoy.

We needed to charge our electric car which worked perfectly. As it was quite late we decided to stay the night and have a delicious dinner. The lovely swimming pool and spa was an unexpected bonus.

Breakfast choices, aircon, friendly staff and historic inn in a very central location. Rooms were quiet, comfortable and well appointed. The fridge and fresh milk were appreciated as it was over 30C outside when we stayed.
