The host is an absolute sweetheart, we were able to communicate via a translator app. The property usually requires to prepay one night via PIX (which is a local analog of PayPal), but since we didn’t have it, was flexible about it. The place is on an island and the vibe of island life is different from the big city, we loved it. Traveling with a ferry was no problem, you don’t usually wait for it longer than a few minutes and it’s not expensive, just have some cash ready (3 Real per person to the island or 6, if you wanna be dropped off closer to the property). We were able to leave our bags for the day before the flight. Breakfast (coffee and a sandwich) was a nice surprise and was delicious. There was a hummingbird feeder, so you have a good chance of seeing one. We would love to come again.

The view, though the balcony, which also acts as the access, is shared with the other rooms so no privacy, like if you are in the last room everyone else can see in when they walk passed your room.

The hotel is on a prime location and it's easy to navigate around. 10 minutes drive from the famous Sugarloaf Bread.
The room we booked (top level) had a spectacular view and the bedding were nicely medium hard.
Breakfast was varied and very friendly staff to refill. We didn't have dinner as we had a craving for sushi. The reception people promptly advised a Nikkei place accross the street which was a marvelous bonus to our stay.
Perfect for one night stay when you need to be close to the Galeao airport. Very efficient frequent airport shuttle service. Really good infinity pool and the restraunt serves good and cheap dinner. Nice reception area and friendly English speaking staff.
Location in Copacabana Beach, you can walk 5.minutes. Close to the beach, restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. You get what you pay for, good value for the money.

Hotelinho Urca Guest House offers a lovely experience with beautiful views, located near Sugar Loaf Mountain. The scenery is captivating and perfect for a relaxing break.

Really like this hostel! It gives off family vibes, a bit like a shared uni house. It’s great to have a well equipped kitchen and there are good supermarkets nearby. The location is great, really close to the beach and there’s loads of places for breakfast, lunch and dinner on your doorstep.
