Lovely location with views to the lake from the picture windows in the room. The rooms have a rustic look but are really comfortable. Pictures are very accurate. The location is quiet and peaceful. You can park your car outside your room.
Breakfast is excellent, in the dining room again with fantastic views. Everything is tasty and some of it homemade by the owner.
Above all what made this stay special were the staff. Irina and Julietta were so welcoming and full of information. They are also excellent at speaking English which is useful if you don't speak Spanish.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Soberana. It was clean, quiet, cozy, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, modern washroom with lots of hot water. Our room had a lovely view over the Lago Argentino and town of El Calafate. Susana, the host, is wonderful. She's friendly, accommodating and was very helpful with our travel questions. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The staff were friendly enough & did go out of his way to make me breakfast on the morning of my glacier mini-trek, which he did not have to do. The accomodation was nice enough, my room for the few days was clean & warm. All in all a good place to stay.

Cute little inn run by a lovely family. The rooms were nicely furnished and comfortable with a fantastic view of the lake. The bathrooms were clean and functional. We were there in the winter and the location is not in the center so you need a car to stay here because it is on top of a snowy hill. On the plus side, it is close to the ice skating area.
The hotel is very close to the Main Street and conveniently located. The room was fairly comfortable, though the bed was on the firmer side. The breakfast here was great! They had tons of fresh options and kept everything filled. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was really tasty. The staff were helpful and friendly. They have a cute little attic gym and a hot tub, but you can only use it by appointment so we didn’t. I did get a massage there booked last minute that was really nice and surprisingly affordable.
The room was comfortable and clean. Leonel, Franco and Julian were hospitable and welcoming. They were always so helpful! Kau Kaleshen has a central location and it was very convenient to get around the town. The wifi was excellent as well. I had a wonderful holiday in El Calafate overall also thanks to the staff at the inn.
This place was absolutely perfect for our stay!  we enjoyed the big window looking out over the water and watching the snowfall. The room was very cozy and we enjoyed it so much. We had dinner there several times. The food at the hotel was amazing and the staff was really wonderful, helping us arrange for transport, do our laundry, and like I said, bring us food. It was a perfect and romantic stay!
Having the restaurant inside was great as we were able to have breakfasts/dinner there after a big day of tour and also order boxed lunches. The staff were helpful and friendly, at both restaurant and the reception check in and out process was quick.

The staff is fantastic and super helpful in planning, coordinating, just talking, and everything in between - in Spanish and English. The main area is great for hanging out, doing work, or just sitting. Breakfast was basic but good, and meeting other people is easy here. The rooms were cleaned every day, and even your bed is made! Stayed here at the beginning of my time in Calafate, left to Chalten, and then returned afterwards because I liked it. Maybe a 15m walk from the bus station and a 15 minute walk to the main visitors part of town.
