This ibis hotel is a 5-minute drive from Carcassonne city centre and 1 km from the medieval part of town. It offers air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TV, satellite channels and free Wi-Fi internet access. Really nice hotel that was maybe a 10-minute drive to the Cité (medieval city). The staff was very nice and accommodating. They kindly kept our freezer packs in their freezers in a bag so we could keep our food cold the next day as we continued our travels. There is a bar and restaurant on site which we used for dinner. The food was great. We had a familial room with a fold out couch. It was nice the couch was already unfolded and bed was made when we came in. AC unit was quiet and worked well. The hotel also serves breakfast, but we didn't eat there. We stopped by a boulangerie called Marie Blachère which was only a couple minutes away, as we were heading out of town. They also had coffee/hot drinks to go and even a sandwich shop. We didn't use the pool but it was secured with a gate and there were lounging chairs, chairs and tables. Plenty of room in the parking lot which is also secured at night. Overall we had a great stay!
