It was exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Although we've stayed in lodges and B&B's in the past, this was my daughter and her mom's first ever hotel stay and breakfast room experience - I'm happy that it was a good experience for them both.

This hotel is located in the centre of Cape Town, just over 500m from the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway and around 7km from Clifton Beach. It also features a fitness centre and a splash pool. All of the spacious, air-conditioned rooms at the Southern Sun Cape Sun feature views of either Table Mountain, Robben Island, or Table Bay. Each has an antique-style décor and an en suite with a bath and shower. A buffet breakfast is served daily, with lunch and dinner available at Riempies Restaurant. The cuisine combines the modern and traditional and reflects the region’s Cape Dutch heritage. Guests can also relax at Le Bar and Lounge which is situated in the hotel lobby. The hotel is located a 12-minute walk from The Company Gardens, while the Green Market Square can be reached within a 4-minute walk. Guests can try one of the golf clubs in the region, including Rondebosch Golf Club just 10km away. The Cape Town International Convention Center is 10 minutes’ walk away, and the Cape Town International Airport is 20km from the Southern Sun.
