Company information

Our Madeira was established in 2009 by Linda & Ricardo Dias. We have both worked in tourism all our lives, the great majority of which in Madeira, where we live (and where Ricardo hails from). We know how important it is to find the right holiday home for your holidays, and searching through the many websites can be exhausting, time-consuming and confusing. And of course, you want to make sure you are dealing with a dependable company. Our commitment is to provide a unique, personal service, using our in-depth knowledge of Madeira (our island home) and of all the villas and apartments we feature, to assist you in making the right holiday rental choice. For some of the properties we just handle the reservations on the owner's behalf, but for others we take care of the cleaning and maintenance and we will be there to greet you on arrival at the villa. All our properties are know to us personally. Between us we have over 60 years experience in tourism, so we like to think that we know what we are doing! However we can't do it alone, so we have the help of Norberta, who will answer your enquiries and assist you in every way possible.

Property information

Refurbished to an extremely high level to include air conditioning, under-floor heating and a heated pool, this traditional Madeira house is set in an elevated position with panoramic views of Funchal and ocean. Being located on the road to Monte, which is only a couple of kilometres away, you can watch the famous Madeira wickerwork toboggans going down the hill nearby! Conveniently all on one level, the contemporary open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen lead via a naturally lit corridor to the three bedrooms, all of which feature air conditioning and under-floor heating, cable TV and benefit from the views to the ocean. The master bedroom has an en suite shower-room and the other bedrooms share the family shower-room. The whole frontage is the south facing solarium where you will find the heated infinity pool and sun-beds and the covered built-in barbecue and outdoor dining table, which overlook the wide garden below.

Neighbourhood information

A café restaurant can be found 300 metres from Vila da Portada. On the lower Estrada do Livramento, 650m away is a small supermarket and a bakery/café 800m away. Funchal centre and harbour is 3km (20 minutes walk downhill to Funchal centre) and there is a regular bus service and the bus stop is just a few metres from the house.

Pool heating can be provided and should be requested at least one week in advance. Should it be requested after arrival at the villa, the minimum charge applicable is one week, which is payable from the time the heating is turned on.

Pool heating is optional and costs EUR 120 per week for a setting of 24ºC, payable on arrival in cash. A supplement of EUR 30 per week applies for each additional degree up to a maximum of 26ºC.
