Our apartment is located in a picturesque fishermen's neighborhood with quick access to the beach. In the morning you can hear the neighbor's chickens and the normal movement of the happy neighborhood. There is no access to vehicles on the street, but you will be close to the avenue by the sea, taking a short walk up the hill. Note that the island's climate is very hot and humid, which encourages the appearance of some “undesirable guests” such as cockroaches, lizards and ants. Despite quarterly pest control, in a country house it is impossible to completely eliminate these pests that proliferate across the island. We locals are used to all this type of wild life but we understand that you are not, so to minimize the entry of these animals, keep doors and windows closed at night as they roam and fly during the night.

Ribeira Quente is known for its bay of warm waters (bury your feet in the sand when you're in the water and you'll feel the heat) and the advantage of being 5 min. das Furnas with its hot pools. Located in a residential neighborhood, there may be periods of noise, especially if it coincides with local festivals
