In the heart of the small village of Gominhães, the Alpendre has to offer all the facilities for a relax and nice stay that will amuse the ones who love nature and the traditional lifestyle of the locals. The house is located at 7 km from the center of Guimarães and at 2 km from the lovely village of S.Torcato where you are able to find supermarkets, bars, restaurants and everything you will need for your stay. The Alpendre has a fully equipped kitchen with some groceries like olive oil, tea, salt... we also have a privative park for your car, wi-fi, a garden and a little backyard where you can collect the seasonal fruits and vegetables.
When you arrive at Alpendre you can be received by Claudina (daughter) or the Mother Teresa. We are communicative people, always ready to help all the guests in order to provide the best accommodation possible. At the check-in, we offer you maps from the city center, showing you all the principal attractions and what to see and to do, in the center of the city as well as at the suburbs. We are always ready to help you to get to know our tradictions and way of living.
The Alpendre is in the heart of a very traditional village, were you can find the most peculiar traces of the countryside lifestyle. The place has a local caffe where you can be in touch wih the local costums and people. The Caffe also provides fresh bread and cakes every morning, and some of the tradicional portuguese food. At just 1,5 km you are able to find a big supermarket as well as restaurants, bars, and some touristic atractions in the beautifull village of S.Torcato. Furthermore, you can enjoy the calm and fresh paths of the village and the affection of the local people.
