Adult only accommodation, we have one Garden view room with tea/coffee/microwave & BBQ facilities. Our Studios equiped with kitchenette's provide the perfect semi self-contained accommodation in Hahei. All rooms are only suitable for a maximum of two people older than 8 years & offer a private patio, entrance, bathroom, toilet & flatscreen TV. Insect screens are fitted to the windows. Each room has its own outdoor BBQ. Breakfast is not available, so please bring your own food to cook in the studios or plan to eat out. The kitchenettes in each studio are equipped with a microwave, hobs, toaster, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Most of the year there are several options to eat out at the cafes and restaurants. However, some days in winter only the General Store is open.If you are booking both studios, there is an unlockable adjoining door and patio gate. Cathedral Cove can only be reached by boat or on foot and rewards visitors with sweeping cliff vistas and the much-photographed rock archway. This walk is highly recommended, though in the summer months it is wise to go early in the morning to avoid the crowds. It takes just 40 minutes to walk from the Lookout Car Park, which is a three-minute drive from us. Beach is just a 8 minute walk and provides a long stretch of sand, which is tinted pink from the local crushed shell. This beach has picturesque islands just offshore creating a very safe beach for swimming. At the Eastern end of the beach lies Hereheretaura Point, formally a formidable defensive Pa site, and is approximately a 20-25 minute walk to the top from Hahei Retreat. Hot Water Beach is eight-minutes’ drive from us. You can dig your own spa in the sand where hot springs are naturally located. To avoid disappointment, please check the tide times before planning your visit. The hot springs are best accessed at low tide, however, you can usually still dig your own hot pool two hours either side of low tide. At Hot Water Beach, you can also surf or attend an evening glow worm walk.
