This place has exceeded expectations. Not only does it offer a unique opportunity to feel the authentic spirit of Matera, but also the chance to spend the night in a real ancient cave. The room is impressively sized and beautifully furnished in the Sassi itself. Breakfast is served a few metres away on the beautiful terrace. We are very grateful for the opportunity to stay. It was an indescribable experience.

It was a memorable experience to stay in the cave. Superior suite is really big, I love lighting, all mirrors and unique, modern interior design. Attention to detail is second to none. The place is very clean. That bit of dump, musty smell and dust is a part of an experience. There are kitchen appliances to make a simple dinner also water, tea and coffee are a nice welcoming treat. No iron/ironing desk thought. It is a great place to stay for 2-3 nights. There is no place to dry wet towels, so they get dump after two days, bathroom is a bit cold and all these fancy modern plastic furniture are not comfortable/ not cosy. We spent there 2 nights and overall we had a great time.

This place was a great find. I was looking for cave accommodation in Matera, and this place did not disappoint! The size of this cave apartment is impressive, and you have all the facilities you need for your stay. The decor may not be for everyone, but we enjoyed it, a mix of modern boujee but in the cave works well. The accommodation is in a great location on the edge of Sassi di Matera, meaning that everything is within walking distance. All staff we met were all really helpful, sending recommendations for restaurants and tours, and I requested prosecco on arrival, which they arranged, which was great.

The apartment is even larger than you see on the pictures and is quite fancy. The temperature was comfortably warm in spite of the large space because of a smart climate system. We had everything we needed, including coffee.

Excellent location and super friendly and helpful staff. Lady was very knowledgeable and happy to help. Room stylish and comfortable. Free drinks in fridge and coffee and tea. Breakfast spread wonderful, including savoury treats as well as the best croissants.Everything was fantastic.
