This is a lovely big property with an orchard and plenty of cats. The host is very nice, he doesn’t speak English, but with google translate it’s not a problem. Breakfast is Italian style. The location of the B&B is convenient to explore surrounding towns. Though the house itself faces the highway, it’s quiet at night. The accommodation (a bedroom and a living room with a kitchen and outside seating area) is spacious and clean with everything you need.
L'Oasi bed & breakfast is located directly on the Metaponto seaside. The in-house restaurant serves seafood and delicious pizza. All rooms have a private bathroom.

The location is fantastic, very secluded feeling but only a short drive from the coast. The dinner was excellent and also caterted well for vegeterians. Beautiful pool with stunning vistas if you're in th emood for a lazy day! Breakfast buffet was also very good, great selection of sweet/savory and everything fresh!

We found Metaponto a peculiar town, but do not regret having visit it. The reason for our visit was that said town is the town in which Pythagoras died. Presumably everyone's travels are individually motivated. In our case the hotel we picked suited best our visit to Metaponto. We definitely recommend the hotel, and the visit to Metaponto, we leave everyone to decide for oneself.

I like the fact that the hotel had a private beach less than 5 minutes walk away. Also I was impressed with the way the staff were kind enough not to charge me for two days, that I couldn't stay, and were understanding towards my situation, knowing that the hotel was too far away from where I needed to be on a daily basis
The house was amids a nice garden. The room was on the ground floor and had a patio, which would have been useful in the summer. The host was very nice and polite, the property has its own car park. The location is ideal for those who want to visit the archeological park of Metaponto, but far from the sea or any town.
The owner was very kind and professional, he even helped us find a place to dine near Metaponto, because all the restaurants near the sea were already closed for the season.
The room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and the bed very comfortable.
i really had a great time at the Iris Hostel, the location is amazing, you wake up in front of the see, it is a dream.

Located just off the main road but quiet, thanks to sound-proof windows, with a safe parking and good restaurant. Ideal for a stopover if visiting the nearby ancient greek Temple of Hera and the museums at Metaponto and Policoro.
