B&B Casa di Chiara is situated in a historical park, on the grounds of Villa Ivancich, which was built by Baldassare Longhena, MDC.E. Ernest Hemingway frequently visited the Villa and was so inspired by the surrounding area that he based his novel ‘Across the River and Into the Trees’ as a result of his stay there. The area is easily reachable from various cultural areas, the sea of Bibione and Lignano Sabbiadoro, Caorle, l'Oasi Ecologica WWF VALLE VECCHIA, and the river Tagliamento. Venice is 75 km by train (50 minutes). The Grotta del Gigante aTrieste is 90 km. The area has important wine production – white as well as red. The train station is easily reachable (5 minutes by car). There are suitable cycle routes for families and children, such as countryside rides or visits to antique Casali – we offer the free use of bicycles. The route to Casali is about 30km and you can rent tandem bicycles or motorised bicycles (please pre-book).
