The Pala, a newly built Ubud estate tucked into a lush Bali hillside by a river, offers five villas with a total of 12 bedrooms accommodating up to 24 guests. Meals are served at Hura Hura Restaurant, where guests can enjoy farm-to-table dining. Buggy service makes it easy to travel within the compact estate, and there is a lovely rice field where you can enjoy a farming experience on request. The estate’s riverside location allows scenic views, yet it is merely 6 km away from central Ubud and walking distance from ancient sites such as a sacred spring and temple.

The Pala is located 6km from the centre of Ubud where you will find the Ubud Palace, the venue for daily dance performances that you must not miss. The 15-minute journey into town gives you a short tour of Ubud’s lush hillsides, with many waterfalls, hiking trails and picturesque spots nearby. Walking distance from The Pala, you will discover an ancient, 11th-century temple called Goa Garba, accessed via a steep flight of stairs, and a sacred water spring. A quiet spot, far from the tourist trail, you feel like you’re on the set of an Indiana Jones movie amidst these photogenic ruins.
