Dreamy holidays was always our goal while planning a trip. That is how the idea came up. When we plan our holidays we want to experience most of the place we are visiting. Meet new people and their culture, explore new places, learn new things, taste local flavors, enjoy nature, create new experiences and of course relax and fill our batteries. So when we return home we have created a memory that will last long in our minds and heart. Operating since 2019, we have enjoyed two years of hosting guests and assisting them to explore the beauty of Crete, as well as learning what is important for a relaxing getaway. The neighbourhood If you love tranquillity, Villa Apella is a great choice, located in the Cretan mainland but just 10 minutes drive from the closest beach of Nopigia! The picturesque city of Chania has a variety of shops, bars and restaurants in both the old town and harbour, which is less than 30 minutes' drive from the Villa Local markets & Shopping In the village within 5 min walking distance from the house, there is a mini-market with fresh groceries and a butcher shop, a bakery and a traditional cafe that offers Greek souvlaki and Cretan raki during the Summer. For the art lovers, there is also a pottery workshop and if you are lucky, you may be able to observe the traditional creation process of art-making.​ Bars & Restaurants You'll have to drive for about 20 minutes, but you will be spoilt for choice on where to eat in Platanias and Agia Marina. There are several restaurants that offer both local and international cuisine. If you prefer fish, there are some waterfront tavernas that overlook the sea. Or why not put on your dancing shoes and head to one of the many nightclubs or cocktail and music bars?
