Exceptionally kind staff, close to the airport and accomodated a late check in around midnight (couldn't find others that do!). They speak fluent English which is a plus. Rooms are reasonable size and clean.
We were late to breakfast and still accommodated us and even helped with checking the local weather wind forecast before travelling

Charming easy walks everywhere. Loved the shopping in the streets. All we had to do was walk outside didn’t need to drive. The old fort and walk out to the lighthouse was great. The walk along the harbor especially at night was romantic. Balmy air with street artists, playing flutes, dancing and even a harpist. We will return for sure. Highly recommended.

The history is all around you.
The history is all around you. The Byzantine period and the Ottoman influence. Narrow streets in old town lined with shops selling trinkets to tourists with odd cafe thrown in. Friendly people. Feasted on freshly squeezed orange and pomegranate juice. And yes lot of cats.

It was great to get lost in the old town, perusing the many artisan shops cafes and restaurants and listening to the occasional live music. Such a lot of great restaurants, especially if you wander into the back streets. We also walked along the coast to the wonderful modern archaeological museum; a must do in Chania Town. A great place for a long weekend.

It’s a great place.
It’s a great place. A proper city so full of people going about normal life as well as having picturesque old parts where the tourists flock. The Old Town can get very busy with groups on tours or from cruise ships. It has a town beach which is great (for a town beach!) but you don’t have to go far to find many other beaches either in walking distance or with a short bus ride. Plenty of choice of restaurants and bars. Also just a short hop from the airport so you don’t need a long transfer if you were just going for a couple of days. A bus will get you to/from the airport for €2,50.

A quant town with the usual plethora of restaurants and shops in a high traffic tourist town. The harbour has abnormally clean and pristine water considering the density of the surrounding area. Very romantic.

The breakfast was very good and the location excellent. It was within a short walking distance to Chania old town and the bus stop. The staff was wonderful, especially Ioanna, Gemina and Antonio. They were so personable and helpful. Ioanna and Gemini made us feel at home and helped plan our days in Crete. They were exceptional. Antonio was a wonderful waiter. This was the best European hotel that I've stayed at. I highly recommend staying here.
Beautifully designed little boutique hotel on a picturesque street in the old town of Chania. Nikos, the host was truly the loveliest we have encountered out of many on our travels around Crete. He gave us advice on the best breakfasts and coffees and was over and above helpful with our bags and taxi bookings. we have stayed in many lovely place in Chania over the years but this one is our favourite now as it just ticks all the boxes.
We stayed in three different hotels in Crete during our two weeks visit. Palazzo Duca was the best. It is located right in the center of the old town harbor. The room is beautiful and spacious. The staff was fantastic. Everyone of them was kind and helpful. The breakfast at the next door restaurant was delicious. They do prepare takeaway breakfast in case you need go out early.
We had a pleasant stay and will come back again.
The hotel is a modern structure with a lovely swimming pool and terrace where a super breakfast is served. The staff is super friendly (like everywhere in Crete). A free electric (!!) bus drives you to the center of town (where parking is difficult).
Great location close to Chania Airport. Perfect place to start a holiday in Crete. A wonderful family hotel with the most welcoming and friendly hosts.
