We had wonderful vacation at Velanos Vilas. The location is perfect, waking up every morning to the magnificent mountains .and fresh air. a very short ride from the lovely beaches Jenny, our host was very helpful and sweet and welcomed us with a fresh cake and local wine. I wish we could have stayed longer, and cant wait for our next visit in Crete. I'm sure well come again hopefully in the spring to enjoy the blooming in the mountains of west Crete. What a wonderful place, absolutely stunning views and the villa we stayed in was lovely. A proper get away in the mountains, jenny was waiting for us when we arrived with a bottle of wine and a delicious apple cake. The village is small but the local taverna had excellent food and raki. It's away from crowds of tourists but close to some beautiful beaches. The pool is large and we had it to ourselves most of the time. The drive up there is a bit hairy but I'd perfected it by the second day. We will be back!

The accommodation is beautiful and set in a stunning location overlooking the mountain village of Kefali . The place was spotless when we arrived and cleaned every 4 days. Jenny was there to meet us - with homemade cake (and brought more for the kids during our stay !) The beaches at Elafonisi and Kedrodasos are a 20 min drive down the mountain roads and we alternated visiting those with days by the pool…and you’d be hard pushed to find a pool with more beautiful views and location. Utterly unique, beautiful and charming place to stay . 💯recommend . We can’t wait to come back .

Vellanos villas is a small complex of several separate houses overlooking a beautiful valley and the sea. The views from any part of the house are amazing, the pool is right next to the house. The whole complex is very secluded so you are not disturbed by other tourists. The house we were staying in, Armonia, was a well-equipped and large enough for the group of 4 adults. I enjoyed having a big living space downstairs (kitchen + dining + living room combined) and bedrooms separate on the first floor. Also, bathroom is on each of the floors which is very convenient. The kitchen is well-equipped with the basic items. Bathroom contains a hairdryer. Parking is available near the location (~5 parking spaces). We also enjoyed interaction with Jenny, the host.

Stunning location. Lovely accommodation and a warm welcome from the host. Very clean. Absolutely perfect for our needs. Local taverna is also welcoming and is just 10 minutes walk away.

The building was very private, spacious and stylishly presented and the pool area and views were simply stunning. The kitchen was well equipped and the gardens were really beautiful. There were extra touches on arrival like a bottle of local wine in the fridge, coffee and sugar, and a large welcome cake, washing up liquid and washing powder (and washing machine in out building. The air con was great upstairs, the sheets were lovely and crisp and lots of warm blankets great tavernas nearby. Jenny the host and her husband were really kind and helpful.
