The Agia Eirini gorge is well within reach. Kandanos is blessed with lovely tavernas serving authentic mediteranean and cretan delicasses. Pick up your daily bread and pastries from the local bakery and enjoy coffee and traditional herbal teas in the Kaffenion. The Patisserie is offering delicious Greek and international sweei and savoury snacks baked on site daily, famous for the ice cream created with fresh milk. 16 km or 20 min drive to the south you will find the relaxed resort of Paleochora with lovely beaches to enjoy and excellent food and drinks options. Should you wish to visit the world famous beach of Elafonisi it is 1 hour drive away.
