The Cottage is in an ideal position and is just set back from the sea. This quaint and spacious character cottage is situated in the picturesque seaside town of Sandgate. With a long stretch of pebble beach within a minute walk and a promenade offering beautiful walks through to Hythe and Folkestone. Sandgate offers a fantastic place to spend a short break or a week long holiday with a choice of independent cafes restaurants shops and welcoming pubs lining its high street and beach front.
This cottage is situated in an ideal locaton, as a family with small children we enjoy and take advantage of the cycle pathways and beautiful sea front which is ideal for walking and off road cycling. The cycle path starts a short distance from the seafront near the cottage where you begin a your adventure towards west Hythe and beyond. If your into water sports again this is idealy situated. Kite Surfing, Kayaking, Windsurfing, sailing and Rowing are all popular sports down here on the beautiful kent coast line. And even swimming for the brave!! We are a local family starting a new business venture with this beautifull holiday cottage, we also live close by so we are there to help with any questions or queries you may have about the local area or he house itself. We are happy to help with any particular requirements that may make your stay an even more enjoyable so just please feel free to ask.
The cottage is situated on a quiet private road directly behind the Sandgate Hotel where you can go and sit and enjoy the sea views over a galss of wine! Or you have thre Earl of Clarendon pub (lovely trad local pub) which is just a stones throw away round the corner. There is a short woodland walk you can do which the children love just out of the front door and up the pathway to the side of the house to the top, this walk takes you into Sandgate village if you wanted an alternative route! There are more good restaurants and bars close by, The ship Hotel for good meals and a local pub vibe, the Green Spice, a good Indian restaurant, a personal favourite of Ours. The Vault is also a popular restaurant in Sandgate. Hythe is also very close by with its lovely high street and beech front. Hythe Bay Fish bar is good option and offers a range of localy caught fish. Folkestone is up and coming with the Harbour Arm now proving to be very popular. It hoasts a unique selection of food and drink and more often than not live music. Rocksalt is also a very good restaurant there in Folkestone. Dover Castle is only 20 mins in the car as is the beautiful city of Canterbury
