Welcome to Shortflatt Tower, a 13th century historic country mansion and one of Northumberland’s most beautiful residences, set in idyllic surroundings with well-tended walled gardens and ancient woodland. Set in a private estate, we offer comfortable elegance in an area of natural beauty. The grade 1 listed courtyard cottages are located in the curtilage of Shortflatt Tower. The stables and buildings have been carefully and lovingly restored and converted into 6 luxurious cottages with a mix of 2,3 and 5 bedrooms.

Enjoy mezzanine living, large arched windows and original stone floors which have been lovingly restored. The Coach house offers open plan living, groundfloor double/twin bedroom with rainfall shower ensuite then Up the spiral stair case to the lofty double bedroom with ensuite.

With a variety of areas to stroll or sit and relax in the garden and parkland, it is truly a wonderful space to explore. The Ancient tree-lined drive is a kilometre long, providing great privacy and uninterrupted views across the estate. The village of Belsay is just a short drive away. Here, you can explore the local businesses or visit Belsay Hall. There are lots of country walks, including Bolam Lake, or if activities are more your thing, there are lots to choose from in the surrounding areas of Newcastle.
