Please note - Christmas day access to the property will me limited, the Lift will be out of bounds and access to the property is only via a staircase.

South Shields, a seaside resort town on the Tyne estuary, is a short drive from Newcastle upon Tyne. Heavy industries like coal mining and glass manufacturing took over South Shields' long-established shipbuilding industry in the 19th century, when it was still a part of County Durham. With its Blue Flag beach, it has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. The South Shields Museum, the Ocean Beach Pleasure Park, and the Souter Lighthouse are just a few of the town's many attractions, which include 76 steps to the top of the Souter Lighthouse for breathtaking views.
